Those were some pretty eye-opening statistics. So the question becomes what do we do to increase black men's involvement in their children's lives when the only thing that the vast majority of them know is thuggery because of not having a father? It appears to be a vicious circle.

I know what the problem is. I do not know what the fix is.
The more people become aware of the problem the greater the
likelihood someone would come up with the fix.
It is one giant cluster F. Thanks to LBJ.

This goes for all fathers:
Deny welfare for children who's mother's don't name the father (except reported rape) and attach the fathers wages and benefits to help pay for it.
This will increase involvement.

I like it but everyone would have to submit to dna testing.
I remember this well from the 60's. In Long Beach Ca.
a neighboring town . When welfare for unwed mothers
or fatherless children began, an entire section of town went
fatherless almost overnight. The fathers all moved into separate
houses they rented together and would wait till night
to sneak home to see their babies mamma. Welfare workers
quit sometime in the early evenings to not upset the little
ones sleep . When they quit for the day poppa would slither
back home and make more babies. Babies equal income.
Tax payer America picked up the tab. Pretty damn food deal.

If the man she says is the father is in fact the father he pays for the DNA test, if he denies fatherhood. Otherwise she pays.

Those who have several children and seem to be doing well are lying and cheating the system. The allotment per child is meager at best and any cash benefit is small.
Maybe somewhere they get a better deal but I don't know where that may be.
Keeping closer tabs in how the resources are used in the family unit could at least benefit the children.
In my state a mother with 3 Children was just caught using food stamps to pay the baby sitter. Pre-school is available but the mother didn't want the hassle of taking the children to and from. Said it was too inconvenient so she fed all 3 mac n cheese 2x each day and gave the rest to the sitter.
She is a white 23 y.o. girl.

You don't need to round them up.
You just hold the welfare check until they show up. If they don't show up, they don't get paid to procreate and the problem starts taking care of itself.

Hey I am not saying they all are working the system. I would wager a significant number. Unless things have tightened up.
Granted I haven't been paying strict attention to it for some time. I might be going on old data.
What about life time ssdi for children with learning disabilities. That's a biggy. Or it used to be. There were cases of entire households
on that one. Doc . There is a ton of free stuff outside of basic welfare. I could dig it up with a little time if interested. I think.
It's been a few years but I doubt wic and other programs are defunct.
