Well Mrs. Obama that was your choice. You did not have to live there. If the origins of your residence offend you then go ahead and leave. Leave early. There are plenty of Americans who would be proud and not ashamed of living where you do. There are many other historical facts associated with the White House that are positive, but if you must focus on the negative, you might note that every morning you wake up in a house where the husband of the woman you support to be the next President committed adultery.

Has she/he done any research as far as maybe her people were sold to the slave traders by her/his husband's ancestors in Africa?

She is making a point. She makes it to continue the race war that helped her husband gain power. The White House has a lot of history. One can cherry pick irrelevant facts and spin them into a yarn to jazz up the far left of the Scumocrat Party. I figure that I also can take irrelevant facts to make what ever point I care to. Mrs. Obama has now said this statement twice that I know about. Okay she wakes up in a house built by slaves. Does that bring down the property value? I mean it sounds like a negative comment to me. It sounds like she is ashamed of it.

So I say every day she wakes up in a house that some Democrat did something odd in. Every day she wakes up in a house where LBJ used to pick up his dog by the ears and freak out reporters with.

Contrasting Statements, I know this is difficult for the uneducated people that trump loves.

There are a number of formulas used when contrasting ideas in English. Here are some of the most common:
•We'd love to stay for dinner, but we have got to get going.
•They decided to stay in the area, in spite of their problems with the local residents.
•Despite the difficulties of a long journey, Peter decided to visit India.
•Getting a good job is hard work, however, most people eventually find one with patience.
•There were a number of people who came, although the hotels were not equipped to handle them all.

Contrasting statements. " Every day I wake up in a house built by slaves." "for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country ".

No wait there is no contrast.

Real people have no pretense. Real people are not education snobs.

What is the word? That word that describes the Obama and Hillary superficial faux educated clowns? Ah yes it is an old word. Pedant. Why are so many Democrats Pedants? Nay. " superficial faux educated clowns " says it better. A little long, but more descriptive and just more plain fun.

You need to do a little homework, During BUSH'S 8 years there was no consulate or embassies attacked and destroyed or was an Ambassador killed. However where liberals like to spin the truth, there were some 40 plus people who either worked at and for the U.S. Embassies or were contractors who were hire by U.S. Embassies in some very dangerous countries. These people weren't kill on the U.S. Embassies grounds/ property, they were killed while traveling around those countries outside the protection that embassies have, because that considered/ is U.S.sole. This protection wasn't provided to the Benghazi Consulate and Ambassador Chris Stevens at a consulate that Obama and Hillary had established in one of the most dangerous and terrorist countries on earth and still ignored 100's and 100's of request made by Ambassador Stevens for more and better protection.

Since you know it all, you must know Clinton did not get those requests. You must also know the GOP cut funding for embassy security. The only reason for repeated investigations was to damage her politically. Maybe the Democrats should play by GOP rules. Bush and Cheney would be hung by now.

Michelle Obama Claims the White House Was ‘Built by Slaves’… But There’s One HUGE Problem
by Top Right News on June 4, 2016 in Uncategorized
by Brooke Bosca | Top Right News
Michelle Obama gave the commencement address to graduates of City College in New York. While she was trying to inspire the students, Obama could not refrain from injecting race into it, as shealways seems to do:
“It’s the story that I witness every single day, when I wake up in a house that was built by slaves, and I watch my daughters – two beautiful, black young women – head off to school, waving goodbye to their father, the President of the United States…
While I think it’s fair to say that our Founding Fathers never could have imagined this day… you are the fruits of their labor. Their legacy is very much your legacy.”
There’s just one big problem with her statement, which has also been echoed by her husband: it’s not entirely true. But don’t expect the media to tell you why.
First, the White House was not built solely — or even primarily — by slaves.
Most of the labor force consisted of local White laborers and artisans (from Maryland and Virginia) and a number of immigrants from Ireland, Scotland, and other European nations.
As the project neared completion — the lime-based whitewashing that gives the building its iconic appearance…slaves were indeed added to the mix.
But once again, facts get in the way of the Obama’s preachy race-baiting.
That’s because the U.S. government actually paid the slaves who worked on the White House
