And there is a lot of truth to that when talking about science, seems a little anticlimactic to me. I know, that is irrelevant...... Or is it?

There is a saying, I can't remember who's so as to attribute its source, but, along the line of asking what your purpose in life is if no gods exist is like asking who the slave will serve once slavery has been abolished!

And the universe, this world, my family and friends, babies and grannies, the smallest flower, the faintest star, the loudest rock band, the haunting scent of honeysuckle, well, the WHY of all of that is for us to create for ourselves in the synergy of consciously seeing, knowing, recognizing, understanding, contemplating, using and loving..... Being present and appreciating it all!

Oh, I'm not free with my personal insults but save them for someone special--like you. You've blocked me because you live in a world where affirmation has become a means of finding truth so the more people who will affirm what you say the more certain you are that what you say is true. This of course is a "bandwagon" fallacy or Argumentum ad populum where you assume something true because a majority of the people believe it--and you can't have a majority if people like myself and Single are there to say otherwise. As I said, you live in a world of fallacies and you skirt from one to the other claiming you've found truth but never actually making the logical argument to prove it. This is a safe little world that you've created yourself and you block anyone who can disrupt your safety...

Considering how many people are on this site, that is not a large number. So, once again, you are wrong.

Also, notice that one of them is a conservative. He's on my list because I'm tired of hearing about all of his conspiracy theories. I agree with a lot of what he says, but he grows tiresome.

Actually, these are the ones who took your comments apart at the seams, proved you hadn't a clue and basically showed the rest of this forum you simply talk out of your ass. Most were pretty nice about it but face it, if you are clueless and open your mouth as if to "instruct" others on topics like evolution, well, you'll get your ass handed to you every time.

And most were being nice about it but it was you who decided to get nasty. Your every comment in retort essentially started with something akin to "you are so stupid" or "you obviously have some sort of brain disorder." LOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Little balls is an appropriate name for one such as you. Big balls would not censor others, shutting down those who would disagree with you.

I find that strangely refreshing.

Now let's not get the cart before the horse. M theory is very far from proven, so far in fact, the idea of figuring out a way to prove or disprove is not considered good science yet. As far as God not having anything to do with us now, well, I think personal experience would have to determine that. And, you will say this is a cop out and that is fine but if you will reflect on it a bit you can't refute it, if there is a maximally powerful (omnipotent), maximally knowledgeable (omniscient) being that created the universe who are you or I to say what is logical or not. Now as far as to bring glory to God, come on now, the universe and the laws of physics, and the wonder of it all you have to admit it is pretty dang glorious and that a being created it...... Pretty glorious.

Why would we stop thinking because of a god? I think it more than reasonable to state, logically, what a god might and might not do. And what's so glorious about the dang thing is that it doesn't need a god to get it going or keep it going. If the multiverse is correct then it has always existed and will always exist. In short, the multiverse IS god providing everything we need for life. Now that is glorious indeed...

You have all liberals save for one lunatic conservative. You've simply proved my point. Anyone one who wiggles your little world you ban--why--because you are a chickenshit who finds it impossible to deal with reality. So long as everyone agrees with you, you are fine, but any disagreement and your world of affirmation falls apart. Well, piss off, you are on of the most useless of all the tiny balls around here...

Not at all! At least not in particular. I'm speaking in the universal sense and including it all!

See that's the thing with science, it answers the question how, which is fantastic, but it doesn't answer the question why. Ask Lawrence Krauss. He says who cares about the why.

That's because why is completely irrelevant. We are here. That's what's important. I think part of the problem is that man's seems to need meaning in his life and from that a need for purpose and why come into place. This is an artificial structure though--one completely created by man--and it's from this god comes into the picture. That makes god a construct of man and fully mans creation--all to explain why, which of course, is irrelevant. See...

You can't be serious. Look at the list of names again. And you claim that they were pretty nice? Seriously? And you also claim that they handed my ass to me? EVERY TIME? Even you cannot be so stupid as to believe that. LOL! What's really sad is that you probably believe, in that delusional world you live in, that you somehow just put me in my place. Maybe I should remove you from my ignore list. I forgot how funny you can be.

Well I'll be, you do in fact believe in God. All consuming, should we so choose. Yet, whether we choose or not, life, here on this Earth, will continue to exist. The Glorious gift of free will. Is there in other religion, and I use the term loosely, that grants "free will"? Is there any other species known to man, granted this "free will"?

For to "think" is to know nothing. I think all the time yet I know nothing. I only think I do!
