Good thing salvation doesn't require a vote.

Gee, have any said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Did any die on the cross for your sins?

For someone who supposedly couldn’t care less about what Christians like me believe, you appear to spend an awful lot of time disparaging us.

Oh, I just like poking the Chicken every once in a while. And hey, it's not just Christianity we are talking about here--we've invented thousands of gods over time so exactly what is the probability any of them are real--because they say they are. Man, you really have to come up with something better than that...

I didn't pick Him. He picked us all.

It's not unlike loving your parents or children.

And yet you chose the title of your thread as, "Aren't you glad you picked Jesus!"

And by the way, you didn't answer my questions. I'll take into account your short memory span and repeat them...

Have any said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me?”

Did any die on the cross for your sins?

I was a Protestant for 43 years before I got "born again" in a non-denominational church called Branch Fellowship in Harleysville, PA, attending there for 7 years. Started out a Methodist until being married at 23 then became a Baptist, Presbyterian and Lutheran. Since 1989 I have attended Calvary Chapel which was founded by Chuck Smith in CA. The pastors do chapter and verse not "pick out the intersting books like the 7th Day Adventist do in Daniel and Revelation" Anything good in my life comes from Jesus/God and anything bad is by my own mistakes. What Would Jesus Do? It's more than a slogan. What an empty feeling it is thinking there is no life after death.

The only one we didn't "invent" is Jesus. He's the only one who took human form in order to tell us how the cow eats the cabbage. He was born about 6 miles from Jerusalem in a town called Bethlehem.

And, the weird thing is, there were men telling us Jesus was coming a long time before He came. They talked about Him something like 365 times down through the centuries--told us where He would be born and to whom, told us where He would die and and how and who would kill Him. And why. They told us why He would come and what He would do when He got here. Six centuries before Jesus came, a marvelous fellow named Isaiah told us so much about Him it's a mind blower. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. They all told us enough about Him that many people knew instantly who He was when He showed up.

We know what god you worship, Pete, your ego.

John 14:6 - (Jesus answered) "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I don't judge other people's religions, or their beliefs. But we are all told how God judges them.

It's an unfortunate reality that neither this world or the afterlife are necessarily 'fair'. Some people have parents that expose them to God's word. Some don't. I don't know God's plan for those that don't hear of His word. But I know what his plan is for me.

So what religion were you raised? Would it surprise you that most children grow up to follow their parents beliefs? You are welcome to believe that he chose you if you like but the fact remains that all our gods past have been created by us. I find no greater probability that the god Thor any more real than the god Jesus do you? And the Egyptian laws of Ma'at are fully comprised in the bible so maybe Thor and Jesus closer linked than you imagine.

What makes you think our 'after life' won't be fair? Do you think our lives before our birth unfair? Why will the events after our death be any different?
