Alton Sterling son a 15 year old boy, was recently interviewed and asked how he felt after the shooting of his father, his response was:

"I believe we should all come together as one family, I want to see that if people protest they do it with peace and not violence.

Children are representative of their parents, this is what should be considered when watching this video.

In the end we see an officer remove something from his pocket, they would like you to believe it was a gun and not a cell phone. Either way if it was a gun it was never drawn, he was already down, one has to ask... they couldn't just wound him if they were so fearful. What were their other choices to preserve life.

And you condone wrong doing and would put bad police above the law, when they are the very ones who represent our laws. If they are corrupt so are our laws, think about that before you wave your magic wand of immunity and no accountability of a wrong doing.

Morgan-great post ! This is an amazing young man. I agree that the Police sometimes overreact and end up killing as opposed to disabling. If Alton had to be shot to control him, the police officer could have shot him in shoulder thus preventing him from drawing a weapon. I believe we need to change how Police Departments work in this country. We need to totally eliminate the use of the quota system so that people do not end up losing their lives over broken taillights. To require that police officers make a certain number of stops/arrests might bring in a few dollars in fines but that is quickly eaten up by multi-million dollar wrongful death lawsuits levied against officers and municipalities. The individual police officer is doing the job for which he/she signed up and it is up to the authorities to modify the system and provide additional training. Good Luck America !!!
