It is possible that when he was asked how much money was raised he was anticipating, based on money already raised, to reach the 6 million point. What you are not understanding, receiving a pledge does not always translate into the actual receipt of the money. The fundraiser in question was a telephone fundraiser... people called in and said they would donate XX amount of money. Fundraiser closes and you have to wait for the checks to arrive.... many times, people have either a change of heart or circumstances and never send the money. So, I do not think he intentionally lied.

I absolutely would support an increase for our veterans. I already pay too much (in my opinion) on taxes... 39.9 percent, but I would gladly pay another 2 percent to support our veterans or their surviving spouse/children. And I guess that means that I would support an increase in the money you are given for your years of military service.

Cool Breeze-Trump's goal was to raise 6 million dollars. Apparently there were more pledges than actual donations. The Washington Post reported that Trump Campaign was off by 1.5 million which would mean that he raised 4.5 million instead of six. How much did Hilllary and Bernie raise for vets ? Get your shovel out and go dig for more dirt as it appears that is all you really do. PS. Will you be invited to Hillary's incarceration party?? Make sure you wear an orange jumpsuit. CoolBreeze-Good for you-what branch and how many years did you serve ? I realize that both civilian and military retirees are in need of COLAs but then the VA is in much more need. However, like every other government agency it has too many bureaucrats (too many chiefs and not enough Indians) and does not seem to be accountable to anyone. Good Luck America !!!

Cool Breeze-you obviously did not read my post. I said the "culmination" of the deterioration of the VA happened on his watch. As a disabled vet, I am aware of the VA situation. "All about the vote" you say? What about Obama letting millions of Mexicans into our country illegally and then giving them perks that American citizens can't get? How about protecting them from so-called profiling? It a cop comes up to me and asks to see my ID, I by God am required by law to show it to him under pain of arrest. Not so for Mexicans? Why the hell not?
I had to pass criteria that determines if I can register to vote in this (MY OWN) country. Mexican's were given the vote by our own corrupt Obama because he wants more people like Mexicans who will vote Democrat because of Obama's gifts to them. I have to show my ID when I vote, or do practically anything else, like cash a check, buy alcohol, get a drivers license, etc...etc...etc "ad nauseum." Why not the Mexican's? Police are ordered by Obama to leave Mexican's alone??? They are criminals from the start, and I have never committed a crime in my life. Yet I can be profiled, I can be ordered to produce identification on demand (for no reason they have to give me). I must identify myself to do many of the activities I need to do when I am just living my legal ordinary life. Obama and Hillary made careers on lying to everyone to get what they want. You are right, "It's all about the vote". Unfortunately, they will lie to anyone and everyone about anything to get the Democrat vote large enough so that America effectively becomes a "one party system". DEMOCRAT. When they get what they want, America will cease to be a free country, because they control the "VOTE". They and their "New World Order" cronies will have converted America to the level of "Socialism/Communism".
For my part, "Thanks for Nothing". I am and will continue to be a 'Patriotic American Citizen', and I say if you come here to be a citizen, do it legally, or don't bother to come.
