Townhall is an ultra-conservative website most likely funded and authored by the oil, gas and nuclear industries. If you check out the sources given to back up the article's claims, you will be directed to other Townhall articles. Townhall appears to be the only source posting this bogus information.

If you don't want your status as 'political hack' to so obvious, try a quick 'Google Search'.

Not efficiently. We kill birds and fish and mammals all the time for energy. I'm not going to go hypocrite.

If someone invented as viable solar collection method it wouldn't need government money.

They work and once the up front costs are paid, all the energy they produce is free.

Without government subsidies, nuclear power plants would not exist.

Windows are the greatest killer of birds.
House cats are next.

If you are concerned about birds, cover all your windows and cage your cats.

LOL

IOW.... The only problem with them is that they cost more than the value of the energy they render.. Why let a problem that small get in the way of something?

FYI - In addition to up-front costs they also require maintenance and must be replaced at some point.

The up front costs are less than nuclear, coal and gas turbine power plants, All power plants require replacement at some point.
All power generation plants besides wind and solar pollute the environment.

Do you have any sources other than Townhall to back up your claim that they cost more than the energy they render?
Surely you meant to say nuclear power instead of solar.

Nuclear coal gad and oil render a whole lot more energy than dollar per dollar invested. They are actually economically viable. That's why companies make money obtaining and processing them after being taxed.

The undeniable proof that fossil fuels are are viable is found in the free market. I guess you didn't think to look there.
