This was the prayer for 2/4/15

When I left for a meeting, last night, an almost full moon lit up the sky with it's beautiful ivory shine, and a smile on his face. Off to his right was a bright star, there to be of service. I felt as though he came out just for me, to light my way to my destination. He was there just for you, as well, either to light your way, or remind you of a romantic interlude with one you love. That kind of moon is just one example of the soft beauty the Lord blesses us with, to lead us by its light; to appreciate its beauty; or to have us reminisce over past moments of happiness.

This morning, very early, he was still there - only now he had shifted to high in the western sky. The landscape was still lit up, but he looked far away, ready to fold his charms up and move on to another part of the world. Isn't that rather the way we start our day, full of beautiful life, but by evening we are ready to slow down and just appreciate the slower pace of eventide. The Lord shows us the simple beauty around us every day, take time to enjoy, even when you're busy. The days slip away so quickly, and you will be old soon enough - slow down for a moment, find beauty.

Find your special place, your secret prayer closet and slip in there at least once a day. You will find you not only need it to escape the madness of the world, but you need it to refresh your soul, to lift your spirit, then you will 'rise to fight again.' Dear Lord, be with each of us this day, always we ask that You protect our troops and their families, and we pray You will not only be with Israel, but also be with America - save her Lord, save her for You. This is a prayer from our heart, and we offer it in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

Thank you for the kind words, Ranger. God has been with me on a marvelous journey. When I would stray from the right road. He still protected me, so I was always grateful. When I went through good times in my life, I was grateful. When I went through rough times - I would thank Him for pulling me through - He was always there. I do not remember a time in my life when I didn't believe and know He was my God. I also, always accepted the blame when I was wrong, or when I did wrong - I did not blame God. He gives us free will, when we make a mistake it is by choice, or we stupidly listened to another and allowed ourselves to be misled - it wasn't God's fault. A journey traveled with Him, is a journey worth the learning that comes from knowing hills and valleys. Thank You, dear Lord. Amen

Verse of the Day for Sunday, April 23, 2017:

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. — Philippians 4:23

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Some prayers are so simple and so precious. To pray grace "on" someone is a great blessing. To pray that this grace be more than physical, external things, is greater still. So why not pray this prayer for those you love.

My Prayer...

God, please pour out your grace on the following people that I deeply love and want to know your grace, mercy, and power. I pray for... in Jesus' name. Amen.

This is the prayer from 2/5/15

When we are young, it seems the day's move at a snail's pace; come midlife, the day's move by so fast we wonder where the week went. You would think, with old age time would slow down again, but it hasn't, instead we wonder what has happened? Where have the year's gone? What have we accomplished? We have found that the more things change, the more they have stayed the same. Each day we look to the Lord to see us through. We have reached the point where we have the time to realize how much we have depended on Him, and how much He has done for us.

Where do we go from here, Lord? Forward, is the word! Never turn around and go backward, for the Light is in front of us, continue to seek it, have it lead us on. When we are so tired we feel we can't go any farther, that's the time to sit down and rest, He will understand. When we are rested, He will pick us up and then He will help us continue onward. The time has come to realize that the weight of the world belongs to Him, He will carry it, and carry us when necessary. Like a river, the days of our life flows on, know the direction in which it flows.

He is our river, our river of life. We start as cool, clean, clear water, but then we allow the cares of life to muddy the water. It is time to look to Him, time to have our water filtered. It will never be at its original pristine levels, not until the time comes that we approach the glory throne. Then we will be wrapped in a pure gown of love, all the dirt and dust of life will be washed away. The joy within us, will make it difficult for us to keep our feet on the ground. Rejoice! Rejoice! He will bring us to it. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

This is the prayer from 2/6/15

Praise the Lord! Yes, praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the evening, and walk with Him all the day through. No matter what we do, or where we go, go with Him by our side. In the evening paper, we may read of an incident somewhere in town, but we find it was before or after we left. It will be amazing as to how often that will happen, and we missed it. It is not coincidence, it is His love and care for His children. He, of course, knows His own, and He cares for all of us in the most tender way. Thank You, Lord, we are grateful.

Praise the Lord! Yes, praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the evening, invite Him to watch over our sleep, and to bless us with pleasant dreams. When we fall asleep with praises in our thoughts, all the noise and clamor of the day washes away. Turn your concerns over to Him, surprisingly, the morning light may bring with it a solution to any problems. Trust! Trust and praise, two major components of faith. In times of stress, it is even more important to build on our faith, it keeps us more alert. Thank You. Lord, we gratefully turn to you.

Praise the Lord! Yes, praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the evening, praise Him all the day through. Walk with Him on the quite paths of life, sit with Him as we observe the problems of the world, call on Him to solve our problems and to heal all our ills. He is never too busy to hear us, He never puts us off. There are times when we are ahead of His planned solutions, have patience and just keep thanking Him - the solution is coming at the right time. Be in faith, praise and trust, He is with us. Thank You, Lord. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Monday, April 24, 2017:

The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of judgment. — Proverbs 10:21

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

I have several friends who are very wise in the way they speak. When they do speak up, everyone listens attentively because their words are always wise, well-timed, and worthwhile. Their righteous lives and careful use of words blesses and nourishes all who listen. There are others, however, that are constantly talking about everything and spending little or no time practicing what they preach. Their words are discounted as nothing more than their own desire to hear their own opinions about matters on which they know nothing.

My Prayer...

Holy and wise God, please give me wisdom and self-control to keep my mouth shut unless what I say can benefit those to whom I'm speaking. Help my words be helpful and true. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Do not allow the devil to slip in and take your joy! He is like a roaring lion looking to jump on you at your most vulnerable moment, whether it's through your own family, friends, even work. Stay strong! Always call upon the name of Jesus Christ when you feel your grip slipping.....
