How on earth can one have a level playing field as you claim, if one is intelligent and the other is not educated and does not want to work in a area where, what skills they have, can be productive but at a lower pay scale appropriate with their lever of skills and education. What if doing their own thing, as you say, is not productive.

You might be able to respond to Alicia's post in a more cogent form if you read it.

Every job is productive even if it's picking up junk from the street. I've known people who have few skills who are happy working at whatever job they are capable of doing. Most people, even those who are not talented, usually find a hobby through which they find purpose. Those with an education may look down on these jobs because they don't understand the minds of those who are not so talented. There is a place for everyone and those who are less blessed will find it given the chance. The prime purpose of education is for each to find their nitch.

I have seen videos of the Dogon society in Africa in which everyone's job is considered just as important as every other job. No one of that society is considered beneath anyone else. Good way to live - No?

It seems that some people miss the focus, Alicia, of the premise. I strive to be as patient as you appear to be.
Have a nice Sunday.
