As long as a Castro is running the show there will no dance for the people. You think things are bad here for poor, talk to Cubans whom haven't been here long.

Doctors make less than cab drivers approx.$65.00 a month.

No dance for the people? WTF are you talking about? They just got a free concert from the Rolling Stones for crying out loud.

Maybe you're too brainwashed to realize that our own sanctions caused more of that drudgery you keep hearing about in Cuba than Castro's communism did. Also, Castro's son is really starting to push their politics in directions that will better integrate the island with the rest of the world. Cuba is changing and it's not a one-man show.

What Obama did is make their dreams of integration a real possibility. There are aspects of Cuban socialism that is still very popular with the people there and they will probably keep them but there's no reason why that would hold them down any more than free medicine and free education holds Germany down.

Lighten up!

I must agree. Breaking the chains on communistic countries has always been the american dream. We can sit down and have a couple of cervasas with them, then get escorted to our new diggs...in prison. Maybe you don't remember who they support or what they did to all of their educators. Before Castro, it was a resort country that made money on tourism. That changed after the coup to terrorism. They can keep him for all I care, he's worthless anyways.

SEMPER FI

Amen my friend!!!!Well said~~And all that took place through all the years..No apology here or care to "mingle with the likes of that one!" Not now or ever!!!! Sorry but that's how feel..

That's yet another problem that Obama is solving for them. Cuba provides free education which means the supply of doctors isn't limited to the number of kids that are rich enough to spend 6+ years in college so they're producing a LOT of doctors and because of our sanctions they were stuck on the island. A simple understanding of supply and demand should explain the rest.

Now with sanctions lifted Cuban doctors can go anywhere, especially to places like Africa where they NEED doctors.

Actually, Cuba has been exporting medical services for decades now but it's been severely limited by our sanctions to places like Angola. Cuban doctors are world-renown for being very good - I'm sure the rest of the world is happy that Obama has set them free.

I'm sure as demand for Cuban doctors rises, they will be able to command higher salaries. I also get a strong feeling that many of them will work for almost nothing anyway because their culture isn't like ours where money is all that matters.

I always thought the Stones were cool and here they are playing a free concert in Cuba. Super cool.
At $24 A Day
And Staples Shortages
Cubans Can't Afford Stones' Tickets

Did Stones Change Their Citizenships ??
If Not, They Could Have Done This Anytime
With Castro's Permission, Of Course

Obama only wants to recruit them into the new world order and to bolster his legacy, that's why he made the trip to Cuba and Argentina.

Well he sure as hell has no legacy to leave, especially with this now!!!

I really do not understand some of the acceptance or supporting Castro now..What garbage it is...
He nor his regime have changed anything..Dictators do not...They steal from their citizens, live very well while the country dies off..That's what Castro has achieved, other than his Russian side kick that has also gone by the wayside...

Truly pathetic, Hemi~~

We all get there if we don't get killed first. The difference between you and them is that they have model wives, massive fortunes and the admiration of multiple generations. What do you have? A six pack in a refrigerator and gay-sex magazine in the bathroom?

Lol....now THAT is funny....and true
