Today, in 1883, the volcano Krakatau, also called Krakatoa, blew. It was the largest volcanic eruption in recorded history, hear thousands of miles away.

Mount Tambora Was the Largest Volcanic Eruption of 19th Century
http://history1800s.about.com/od/crimesanddisasters/a/Eruption-Of-Mount-Tambora.htm

Adding to the disaster's massive scale, the huge amount of dust blasted into the upper atmosphere by the Tambora eruption contributed to a bizarre and highly destructive weather event the following year. And 1816 became known as The Year Without a Summer.

http://history1800s.about.com/od/crimesanddisasters/a/The-Year-Without-A-Summer.htm

The weather in 1816 was unprecedented. Spring arrived but then everything seemed to turn backward, as cold temperatures returned. The sky seemed permanently overcast. The lack of sunlight became so severe that farmers lost their crops and food shortages were reported in Ireland, France, England, and the United States.

I may have been mistaken. My source said Krakatoa was, but, my source may have been mistaken. I'll look into it some more. You may be right. I'm just tired of all the ad hominem bullshit, and wanted to interject something a little less controversial.

The Yellowstone Caldera worries me. Might screw up my favorite trout hole in Idaho, and that just will not do. I don't care whether your pastime is Transcendental Meditation, Golf, Photography, or needlepoint. All of these hobbies are for people who can't fish worth a damn.

Krakatoa Was No Small Potatoes
I Doubt Seismic Yield And Effluent Ejection Are Directly Related To One Another

Both Volcanos Can Only Be Estimated
And All Things Are Never Equal

My Little Grand-Daughter Was Over For The Weekend
At Home She Has A Zebco Barbie Rod
I Put My Micro-Spin Trout Rig In Her 6yr Old Hands
She Pretty Much Had It Down In 3 Or 4 Casts

I Want To See If Gran-Ma Would Like To Take Us To One Of Our Trout Park Streams Here In Missouri
The Parks Are Really Nice, And I'd Like To See How She Acts Hooking Into A Rainbow Almost As Long As Her Little Arm

I also put a lot of smoke into the air on weekends cooking food, burn gunpowder, and fart!!
