How does the NRA justify having guns made available to everyone - without investigation? Some people have short tempers and . . . give them a gun . . . and they'll start using them. Sounds like the old Wild West doesn't it?

This story appeared on "7 NEWS". Following is a short description by one reader.

"Huh. A PATH train heading from Manhattan to N.J. At 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. One suspect a resident of ... "East Orange, N.J." Scuffle based on one person bumping into another (woman), the woman getting "loud", one person pulling out a gun and shooting the woman, then, the woman's brother pulling out his gun. All 3 shot in the shooting back-and-forth: ankle, hand, leg. So: all packing and all getting loud."

Sounds like a propaganda story, the liberals do this all the time! Both states BAN CONCEALED CARRY! The democrat propaganda machine is seldom accurate, the young liberal arts college students they hire to write these are from the city! And never saw a gun except in the movies! And they make a lot of mistakes in the fiction! "I heard it from a friend, who heard it from his beautician, who heard it on Operah.?????? Its called hearsay! But it really is antigun propaganda! Trying to convince us that we aren't in danger from thugs looking for excitement! The blacks are upset that we now have the right to defend ourselves! Violating their civil right of Rape, Robbery, and murder!

A train filled with Yankees from Manhattan and heading to N.J.?????

Sounds like we should be giving every passenger a shotgun instead of a little pistol.

Clean out the basement - so to speak.

Your total ignorance of the NRA's position on gun ownership, background checks, gun safety is thoroughly presented in your first sentence of your forum.

As you choose your learning through TV, it would be an act of futility by anyone to educate you on the true positions held by the organization.

Their luggage was made of cheap carpet as they traveled. I am trying to determine how they own guns. I mean it is NYC. Did they miss the memo informing them they are a liberal city and cannot have those scary inanimate objects?

The comment I stated was concerning an incident which occurred in the Greater New York Area. I keep in touch with Channel 7 News. I am dismayed by the amount of gun crimes in that area primarily because of the Carry Bans. In this particular situation not only did one person shoot another but the friend of the wounded person was also carrying!

The NRA believes that if more people carry guns, everyone will be safer. The above incident disproves that theory.

I do recall that, during the rush hour in California, when people are frustrated and tempers rise due to rising temperatures, drivers had been known to shoot at other drivers simply because they were stuck in traffic.

My point is: If people are given ammunition to use (when normally they will simply swear at each other or, the greatest extent will be a fist fight, they will use that ammunition.

Psychological exams do not work because any really smart person (or, some times, a psychologically unbalanced one) can pass those tests. I see nothing wrong with hunting for food but, in many cases, people hunt because they like to kill. That instinct is in all of us if we are allowed to express it. I'd personally rather see a fist fight.

The only way I can see to prevent people from killing each other in a temper is to ban carrying concealed weapons.

Again, your total ignorance spews forth concerning the NRA. Again, you choose an incident you heard on TV.

Have you read the US Constitution? Try it! :!: :!:

As to your your thoughts on anything relating to guns

Violence begets violence; always has, always will. Look at the nuclear arms escalation, America says we can destroy the world 2xs over. Russia replies they can do that 3xs over. Oh yeah, we can do that...well, you get the picture. The same with guns. The NRA is an abomination.

In HS I read, "Good fences make good neighbors." That was about interpersonal boundries; the NRA makes everyone a future target.

My information came from an on-line news service. How else will I know about this except being there. I don't watch TV and I don't get my info through hearsay.

If I did watch the news on TV, I certainly wouldn't watch FOX nor listen to any of those "conservative" idiots on radio.

My intention was to generate ideas about gun control and not include political parties. Evidently that didn't work There are those who do not pay attention to the subject at hand and must attempt to either sway others of a different mindset or give them labels
