I actually thought the writer made some very good points....and I also think that if anyone is fighting for injustices, you have to be accurate with information given.....both sides can be guilty of exaggerating and changing data to favor their viewpoint......that's the main point I got from this article ( which I enjoyed ) if you're going to fight for something, make sure the data is correct...he gives good examples such as rape on campus and equal pay for women.....if one doesn't make sure the information is accurate, it assuredly is going to come back and bite you in the ass anyway....so get it right....there's no reason to exaggerate or misinform....there are plenty of injustices to fight for
I actually thought the writer made some very good ... (show quote)

I think that this author is doing the same thing that he is suggesting others are doing.
Rolling Stone is NOT millennial activists so to use that periodical to make a point about social justice volunteers is misleading.
This is what makes me uncomfortable about his piece. He pulled one statement out of a piece written by Zerlina Maxwell in which she was indicating that it is reasonable to "generally" believe a survivor of rape.
He neglected to include her further statements available here.

Nothing shrill, it is an opinion piece, period.

That is what struck me the other night as wrong with his position, I think. Striking out at the same things that he does.
Striking out at the same thing we all do, it is impossible to cover all aspects of a subject. So naturally we use those those support the point we are making.
