How can you occupy your own land. The way you look at it we are occupiers of the Indians land in America.

How much of the history of that area do you know? Do you know anything about the area before Israel was created, like the Ottoman Empire and how the British came to power in the region? And how long before the United Nations created an independent country called Israel were the Jews living there and returning to the region? How much of the land was already occupied by Jews?

This area has a very long history, sometimes bloody. And I am sure that you would find it very interesting as a focus of study. Leaving religion aside, the area had many occupiers, that included the Greek and Romans and how it was to become a crossroads for the nomadic Arabic tribes going to and from Egypt. As the name implies, these tribes did not establish homes or communities in the area. The word Palestine is the derivation of “Plesheth”, which meant migratory or rolling. “The land of Palestine” was inhabited during portions of the year by warriors.

If you do commit yourself to learning about the area, you will find information that supports your current beliefs. And if you use only the internet, you will find most web sites that speak ill of Islam has been removed. Such as if you do a search on "Islam was invented by the Catholic" or "Islam did not invent" ..... and that should tell you something in itself. However, if you go to the library, you should be able to find a fair and balanced view of both the Israelites and muslims. This way, you can make up your own mind. I strongly encourage you to do just that.

I could sit here and provide you with a history lesson, but why should you believe what I write? But, should you dig into the history books you will be sometimes pleasantly surprised and at times dismayed. The history is pretty much entangled with battles and reconciliations, with nations capitulating to others, and records of slave trade and trade of spices. If a person can study history without modern day politics, it is rich and will lay the ground work for understanding how barbarians and civilized man interlaced their collective knowledge to develop not only modern day religions, but music and art.

I wish you well in your quest for the truth and knowledge.

Penny, I just stopped by to reaffirm what you already know. You're trying to talk sense to a bunch of reprobates who obviously hate America, our Constitution, Israel, the Bible, Christians, Jews and pretty much everything other than anyone who feels the same. Like the UN for starters. You can wish them well in their quest, but seeking "truth and knowledge" is definitely not on their agenda. Let them wallow in their own vomit.

Yes, I know but there are a few people who can be reasoned with, and I think the Jeff is one of those folks. But many of the atheist have no reason, perhaps it is soul they are lacking. Who knows, but my aim is to get any that can or will to study and learn the truth for themselves.

I thank you for the reminder, it is indeed timely and well received.

Pennylynn: Palestine, was one of the oldest homes of civilized man, and has long been important historically. The region is often called the "HOLY LAND" it's sacred to Jew, Christian, and Muslim. Some Jews believe that Palestine is the "promised land" according to the Bible. Palestine is sacred to Christians because Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth, and the Sea of Galilee sites of the ministry of JESUS are located there. For Muslims "Jerusalem" ranks next to Mecca and Medina as a place of religious pilgrimage. The word Palestine comes from Philistia, the name of the coastal area where the Philistines lived during biblical times. Because Palestine strategic location between Europe, Asia, and Africa, the region has been the object of invasion and conquest since ancient times by a series of invaders, and between World War I and 1948 Palestine was governed by the British under the mandate from the League of Nations, in 1948, the U.N. created the "State of Israel" there and created the problem between Israel and the Muslim countries.

jetson: Who told you that Palestine is ISRAEL own land, some JEWS look upon Palestine as the "Promised Land" promised to them in the Bible by GOD, if you believe that, you are a naive. Palestine had been the object of invasion and conquest since ancient times by a series of invaders. In the early 16th century the Ottoman Turks conquered Palestine and the area remained within the Ottoman Empire until World War 1. In 1917-1918 a British General Sir Edmund H.H. Allenby defeated the Turks and Britain gained control of Palestine and the League of Nations declared Palestine a British mandate until 1948, that the U.N. created the State of Israel in Palestine land supported by the U.S.A. and created the problems we have today between JEBS and MUSLIMS.
