Greece didn't understand the economic danger of deficits either

It's the something for nothing attitude and false hope payment will never be due

It's thieves, looters, and moochers hoping other people's money don't run out

It's the death of capitalism and this experiment in republican form of government

It's evidence of liberty stupidity

So tell me History Buffs How many Scandals came before , During and after the Clintons ? A realistic look back at what we all like to forget and I am not talking about the famous sex scandals. Progressives would really rather not look at the facts!

I don't know if I qualify as a progressive or not. At any rate I do look at what is happening under my nose. In the past there have been scandals on all sides of the aisle and no sanctions. I've been around for a lot more years than most here are old. I have seen congressmen kicked out of the senate and house for less than what is accepted today as just being a little naughty.

But I have never seen acts of disrespect as blatant as Obama's and his whole administration. Nor have I seen such total disregard for honesty before Nixon came along, either in congress or the presidency or in the Supreme Court. Even Jimmy Carter was at least honest but a terrible administrator.

This administration has one huge number of Muslims in high strategic places. The experience of our service personnel standing watch with Muslim trainees in Afghanistan and being murdered while on post has not taught this POTUS one single thing. Or he has created this situation by design which makes him a traitor. This goes beyond misdemeanors, which by the way are impeachable.

Experience tells me that you can not tell a good man from a bad man by looking at him. But you can tell them apart by experiences with them. Of course it has become illegal to profile, yet crimes are committed far more often by some ethnic groups than by others. Try to get a security clearance for entry to a high security job. and even your friends get checked.

So do I trust any politician? Yes but they have proven their worth first. The select few have shown they love our country, our constitution and our flag. They may or may not have served in our military, but they do not have a socialist bent. They do not want to change the intent of our founding fathers either. But we have to day and have had for some time those who want to change our constitution or subvert it to suit their own purposes. Those are the ones we need to get rid of. All change is not improvement. Dr. King caused improvement, and the NAACP, ACLU and ACORN have subverted that improvement. Obama has and his whole administration has gone against everything that is good about the USA. He should have been impeached as soon as he did his first misdemeanor.

I have yet to hear any LIB articulate exactly why running a deficit, any deficit, is not problematic. Spending money you don't have seem problematic to me. Try it and see what happens to you.. The cops will come and take your ass to jail. Is that not problematic??

Welcome to 1PP, Really enjoyed your posts to this point. However Aunti-E was correct in her advise to you due to their inability to think for themselves. The following is something I ran across that I thought could help you with understanding and dealing with the frustration that comes with trying to explain to todays Liberals.

H.L. Mencken (born 1880 - died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic, and
Democrat. He wrote this editorial while working for the Baltimore Evening
Sun, which appeared in the July 26, 1920, edition:

"As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and
more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day,
the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the
White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic
moron."

Deprogramming can take time. Whether the brainwashing came from left wing college professors or from MTV or Comedy Central. One must be patient. Just an interesting fact. Some 70% of young people claim to be liberal and this has been consistent through the decades with the exception of the Reagan years. But only 20% of the general population claims to be liberal. So something happens. They learn or they eventually grow up and get jobs and pay taxes. So while the effort sometimes seems futile it is worthwhile if we save one misguided soul. Even if we do not see the immediate result
