Semantics. They gave themselves a better deal and your o.k. with that?

Well yeah, semantics (which refers to meaning). I never understood the common mistake of passing semantics off like it's a minor detail. Saying that they "exempted" themselves from the program MEANS that they have excused themselves from the rules of the program, like mandatory health coverage. They didn't do that.

I guess I'm OK with their self-provided health coverage... From what I understand, it's a pretty nice system. There's no law that says you or I can't do the same thing.

Good for you. I hope you keep it. My premium doubled and my out of pocket tripled. There are a lot just like me.

Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that... It's gotta suck. Insurance companies have always been a rip if you ask me and they always find things to blame for it.

Your an educated guy. Are you telling me they passed a 2000 page bill with 17 thousand pages of regulations, was declared a tax which they say wasn't intended and know one who voted on it read it.

Not sure I understand what you are asking. Which bill are you referring to?

Why does the President and congress have a much better retirement plan an medical then the rest of us peons.

For the same reason they make more money, which is also the same reason corporate executives make more money AND have better retirement plans and medical plans. Some jobs just offer more compensation than others... it pretty much comes down to supply and demand.

Love it! This response actually had me laughing out loud. Seriously, I have to ask, how much are you being paid to shill for the government.

What part of "some jobs just offer better compensation than others" made you laugh?
