The argument his lawyer made is that he could order Seal Team 6 to kill his political opponent and he couldn't be touched. If you agree with him simply say yes. If you don't then say no. If you can't do either why don't you find another thread to turn into an argument...

I believe his lawyer is right. But once his term is up he can be prosecuted as a citizen. He can't pardon himself because he hasn't been convicted of anything . Once arrested as a citizen he no longer has the authority to pardon anyone so he will have to answer in court why he did what he did..
Also , realizing it's a crime , the seal team can refuse to follow orders without penalties.
At that point the president should be removed from office for abusing the power of the presidency.

The argument that Trump made was that he had dictatorial powers...that all of his actions were above the law in perpetuity. The court shut the argument down and unless the Supreme Court picks it up this means that the Jan 6th trial and others will proceed well before the election so he could well be in jail before he can be sworn in as president...assuming that he wins.

You really should follow the news because the charges against Donald are very real and jail is a distinct possibility...

How has it been weaponized? The latest ruling, which was unanimous, included a judge he appointed and an equal number of the 61 rulings against him were by judges that he appointed. If this last ruling does go to SCOTUS and it's refused, which is likely, it's Trump's own actions that are responsible for where he's at not the judiciary...
