Nick Nicholson Loc: Florida, USA

Worked as a consulting engineer for every branch of the US Military , starting in 1967. Even the USCG. Been in Iraq too. Carried a computer, not a weapon. Completed projects in 17 countries, 35 states, and 3 US Territories including Guam. I designed places to park ships, demagnetize submarines and other navy ships, dams, commercial ports, water supply and wastewater cleanup. And caused and fought a lawsuit to the US Supreme Court and won. Riverside Bayview case, 1982. Served as expert witness in federal and state courts. And authored and/or edited Environmental Impact Statements for over 100 projects including 2 in foreign countries. Involved in creating over 5,000 acres of new or renewed wetlands, Everglades Restoratiin, and the Mississippi Delta Restoration programs. And have flown all the way around the world. Now retired, living in central Florida. Enjoying fishing and karaoke. Characteristics important to me include honesty, integrity, morality, and intelligence.

Agreed. We have an avaricious fool in the White House. Only thing worse is trump. We need decent people in the White House. Not the criminal liars there over the last 6 years.

I'll avoid discussing politics.
I suspect we have significantly different views on that .
Ironically ,it is neither the White House ,nor Congress that actually does anything .The actions of our military ,and the rest of the worlds dominant ,and lesser nations is controlled by persons we never see ,or hear about .
Our current government is for show ,to make us think our opinions mean anything .

Cool, my dad although he had a weapon, bashed a few Nazis over the head with his typewriter. My father in law kept all aircraft running at peak performance. So you guys are really under appreciated. A pilot told me that Victor my father in law was one of his heroes.

I have heard tales of a "Deep State" that runs America, but I have never seen any evidenced that this is true.

Try googling "the entrenched bureaucracy". For evidence, try getting anything done efficiently with ANY government agency, in spite of (or because of?) all their computers and expensive specialized programs.
Or for more direct evidence, review how many times since January 2021 the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES has made a comment like:
"Oh, I don't think I was supposed to say that."
"I can't answer questions....I'll get into trouble."
"Which way should I go to get off this stage?"
"I can't talk now. The Easter Bunny says I have to go."
"I'm only allowed to admit to six grandchildren."
and hundreds of others.
*DISCLAIMER--these are paraphrased, and not direct quotes. When I tried to look up actual idiotic quotes by Biden, I was overwhelmed with esamples, so I just paraphrased. Feel free to do your own research.

I was a consulting engineer under contract to the military, numerous state governments, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. Also many US coporations including General Motors and various government agencies. I have no idea where we can find a good POTUS. The last one I wanted to vote for was JFK, and somone had him murdered. I liked Goldwater, but he lost.

LOL! The POTUS today is an idiot, too mentally challeneged to make sense at much of anything. Too old. And by the way, I worked for the "entrenched bureacracy" for 13 years (Army Corps of Engineers). They did the best they could, under the handicaps of complying with all the laws Congress came up with. Everyone I knew did the best they could, and I even fired a slacker. And none of the quotes you offered are evidence of anything but mentai deterioration (dementia) due to age. Paraphrased or not.
