Just a Little Reminder About the Real Reason for Amnesty

Found a nice piece on the Obama amnesty, and the reasons why some Establishment Republicans seem to roll over for it.

http://unfilteredpatriot.com/follow-the-money-top-immigration-reform-donors/

When it comes to gun control, healthcare, welfare, and immigration policy, liberals have been masterful at painting their positions as the morally correct ones. They enjoy, of course, a heaping helping of support from both Hollywood and the mainstream news organizations, all of which are slanted with the same biases. And while I do believe that many Democratic voters – college students among the most faithful – truly believe in the causes, it’s time to pull back the curtain on the real power in Liberal Land: money.

On the subject of immigration, the New York Times did a nice piece this weekend pointing out the major donors on the side of increased amnesty. While groups like La Raza and Obama himself argue that amnesty-esque policies are rooted in a greater humanity, the money behind these efforts comes from a less altruistic place. According to the Times, money has been pumped into immigration reform from sources like the Ford Foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies, the Carnegie Corporation, and the George Soros-funded Open Society Foundations. Over the last ten years, these organizations have donated more than $300 million to immigrant-rights groups.

Naturally, to run such a story the Times had to spend much of the article making sure the reader knew that these organizations were coming from an apolitical stance. They were interested in philanthropy, and they are driven by a moral compass that stands apart from Washington politics. It’s not until nearly the end of the story that we get to hear the other side of that claim. Dan Stein of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, which stands against amnesty, said, “The whole apparatus has become the handmaiden of the Democratic Party. These foundations fund activist organizations designed to create ethnic identity enclaves and politically control them for partisan purposes.”

Ex-actly.

And what is their reason for wanting amnesty? Cheap labor and lots of it. This is also why establishment Republicans – fully in bed with corporate interests themselves – have done little to stand up to Obama’s planned executive action. Instead of insisting that they will use the power of the purse to shut down Obama’s schemes, they’ve begun talking about lawsuits that will likely never see fruition. Only hardline conservatives like Ted Cruz and Jeff Sessions are willing to put their political careers on the line for the sake of preventing disaster.

Of course, Democrats want amnesty for an entirely different set of reasons. More legal Hispanic voters – particularly those who rely on the federal government for monetary support – will translate into more Democratic victories. And the increased burden on the welfare state plays into their aims as well, allowing them an unprecedented level of control over the nation’s citizenry. After all, when you depend on the government to keep you afloat, you aren’t going to be especially receptive to the conservative message of independence and self-reliance.

I do believe we’re at a major turning point in American history, and it goes well beyond Obama’s specific plans. Will the fight for United States sovereignty and culture win out, or will we concede to being a multicultural, segmented nation driven to the bottom by bleeding hearts and opportunists?

The need for more Dem votes and cheap labor is what is fueling the quest for amnesty. You and Loke nailed it.

I disagree. It is for cheap labor. Looks like we are both against it, but for different reasons.

Do you really think they aren't looking forward to all the new voters amnesty will entitle? Illegals traditionally vote Democratic, about 95% of them.

If wetbacks weren't strong potential voters for democrats, Obama would have Border Patrol Agents on the border shooting the wetbacks before they even got into the river on the Mexican side.

Blacks are beginning to think for themselves and become educated. It is only a matter of time before those intelligent and educated blacks start voting for Republicans in large numbers. Black Republicans are already elected and in office. The light of truth is allowing blacks to see that the democrats have been lying and purposely keeping them ignorant and dependent on government.

Now young intelligent educated blacks are fleeing the Democratic Party Plantation, and more ignorant people are needed replace them to vote for democrats. Hence, we have the influx of millions of lazy and uneducated wetbacks looking to ride the democrat sponsored welfare wagon to the plantation and vote for democrats.

grace scott its for votes and nothing else, they will never be voted out of office because this is only the first of many Amnesty's and we will be back to 1775 again. They already have cheap labor and they are lowering our wages and benefits let alone the Diseases that they have brought with them and the 18,000 murders of Americans remember both parties have allowed these animals to stay here. I have written many of the RepubliRATS and told them no more votes or money if they allow this to happen. All of you must do the same.

So do the Democrats, in about equal numbers. All employers are not Republican, in fact, most of them, especially Corporations are run by Democrats. Just look at the backers of, and donors to, the Democrats.

Good one, Lokester, but has no one figured out that all of these cheap laborers need jobs to do? Which rich industrialists benefit from the workers and how? Some of the damage cheap labor is doing to Americans is that body shops, house painting, floor tiling/linoleum, siding, roofing and so much more is all being done by these folks today. American contractors and union scale labor can't compete with it. Now the gummint is bringing them their families who need health care, schooling and housing that is being provided by the taxpayer. It's a weight around our necks and it will drown us. Sooner rather than later.

Cheap labor is also a main factor. Look at how the wages have stagnated since all the illegals have come here. My father almost lost his business because of having to compete with these scum.

Major Ahrens, here is a little info: I have had several businesses in California, one day while selling my roofing I walked into an area where 5 houses were replacing their roofs after I had given a bid on these houses. I went and talked to each owner and they had requested my business license insurance and bond which I had, they went with all Illegal Aliens because they were $500 dollars cheaper but had no Insurance, Bond or Bus. Lic. So I called the Business investigation in Sacramento and reported them doing business without a Lic. insurance or bond and told him that they worked on the weekends only to avoid being detected. He told me he wouldn't investigate because he had weekends off. So I had to lay Americans off and close my business because they wouldn't do their job. I also did the same with my other business and also know that 7 of my business associates closed their doors some after being in business for over 25 years all because of ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THE LACK OF OUR REPRESENTATIVES TO DO THEIR JOBS.

Sir, I know what you mean. My dad had to have workers comp. general liability and matched taxes. The illegals get to sign a waiver and not buy any of these requirements. Now how are we Americans supposed to contend with that? The people in the state house are given their marching orders and those of us who are legitimate don't have a chance. But you can already see the frustration in the American worker. We need to get together and go from job to job and make sure the illegals get the message to pack up once we give them a little attitude adjustment. Thanks for telling me about the worms out there. I hate you lost so much livelihood. We should give them all hope and change, MILITARY STYLE.

**Republicans stance on civil rights issues will keep them lilly white...with repeals on AA causing less blcak enrollments and inclusion in various professional sectors, blacks are not going to buy into that...we will not be used for doing your work against the Mexicans and not gain anything ourselves, politically speaking...trust me on that one**

Please enlighten me, .... exactly what "various professional sectors" would blacks be excluded from, if there were no AA?
