Don't get cocky

I don't want to pee in anyone's cornflakes, but remember the last time the Republicans had both houses they started acting like Democrats in Drag. Don't get cocky. Politicians need lots of adult supervision, especially after a big win. Stay on the phone and email. Let them know they are being watched. Remind them they work for us, and we are watching. Below is a link that can be your friend. Let them know you don't take their word for it. When commenting on their votes, reference the Congressional Record listed below. Get informed on the issues and let them KNOW you are informed, and watching. A very true, simple statement that most people ignore: "If you leave the government to others, then others will govern you." Let us not squander this opportunity. Get them off their asses to secure the Border, rein in the EPA with it's hit job on the coal industry, and let's see about bringing some American jobs back by getting off of the back of Corporate America. Liberals have been so busy bitching about evil corporations outsourcing jobs they have forgotten that we have the highest Corporate taxes in the world, and Corporations can produce goods more cheaply almost anywhere else.
One more thing: Do something about the Department of Education. This leviathan bureaucracy has presided over the precipitous decline of the American educational system ever since it's inception at the behest of Jimmuh Cahtuh. See link below, let your Congress critter know that you are keeping an eye on their votes.

Aw come on, let em have a Happy dance, do a couple victory laps around DC and blow off some steam. They worked hard and deserve it.

But tomorrow it's back to work saving the nation!

Just a dose of reality. I'm happy too. I also have a good memory for how the Republicans screwed the pooch the last time they were in this situation. I don't wish to see it happen again, and witness a return to Liberal LaLa Land.

Do you really think they care what "We The People" want? Writing letters, making phone calls and sending E-mails to them have fallen on deaf ears in the past and I can't imagine they will listen to us now. I'll bet it will be business as usual in both houses for the next two years. It's the only bet I'm hoping to lose. We don't have two political parties. I've tagged them The Imperial Monarch of America. Until I see a drastic change in their attitude towards our country and the problems it has, that title will continue to be their's.

I vote and do all the other things necessary to hold politicians accountable but what they say is opposite of what they do and it just angers the hell out of me. So, we keep banging our heads against the wall hoping they will begin to hear us.

Revolt only as a last resort.

Completely agree Loki, we have to keep their feet to the fire, and watch them. if they are not doing their jobs we let them know they will be voted out the very next cycle. We still have some culling to do, to get rid of the RINO's.

I understand,,, and it angers me almost to hear dems today whining about "bi-partisanship",,, what we need is scorched earth,,,, theirs,,,like they did to ours.

One thing the Marine Corps taught me, was to recognize when you are in a war, and dont let the other side have the advantage.

Absolutely true. If we don't hold their feet to the flames it will be business as usual. It always is.
