Biden "and his ilk", as you put it, have not particularly damaged this country. They could have done better with the Afghanistan pullout, I think, but that's the main thing I find fault with. Mostly he's just done a lot better than Trump did. Trump, when faced with a pandemic, lied to the American people about it. Then, rather than coordinate a response of testing and equipment, he left those things to the states to fight over amongst themselves. Under the Biden administration, all of my family (like millions of others) got free rapid Covid test kits, which is exactly the right thing to happen. It didn't happen under Trump, and could have if he'd been a decent president. (As for vaccine development, which did happen during the Trump presidency, don't bother trying to convince me that Trump deserves much credit for that. I would agree that he was "for" vaccine development within the U.S., but that's about all.)

Then when Trump lost an election, he not only failed to brief his successor in the normal way, he tried to handicap his successor, and also jeopardized the entire democratic system at the same time. Biden's extremely unlikely to ever do such bad things as those, while Trump's likely to continue doing them. Supposing that "patriot" and "real American" are good things to be, you're neither if you support Trump and his ilk over Biden and his ilk.

No, probably not, as I don't usually do that.

What you cannot abide is when somebody _does_ say something that you find "smart" and then, rather than take what they said for whatever it's worth, you try to call them "stuck up".

You also said "condescending", but I've never seen such condescension as what politically "Conservatives" on this site say about "Democrats" or "liberals". Half the time they can't even get a sentence out about a democrat or liberal without including some gratuitous insult in it.

So are those politically "Conservatives" "smart" or not? If they're smart, does that mean they're stuck up? If they're not smart, is that a good thing, to not be smart?

Instead of labeling others, go figure out the appropriate labels to call yourself! Show us a good example of how to be, and explain how you fit your own labels of yourself.

If you don't like them, don't read them. Nobody's trying to force you to read them. I skip over a lot of what you write.

If you can't abide that there even _exist_ a few different styles of civil discussion on the forum, then you shouldn't be on the forum.
