There are guys that refuse, and there are women that refuse to play if they won't and there are others that go along, personally they are either really stupid or they are dishrags, something I feel real men want anyway, they don't want strong assertive women.

So there you have a fundamental truth, a guy that's a real man who refuses to wear a rubber dates a woman, and he is going to find out right there if she is what he is looking for, because I know for a fact that there are strong assertive women that will tell them to go screw themselves if they won't use a condom. The real man will either buckle or no longer be interested.

If twenty guys read this there will be guys who fit that description, or at least refuse to wear a condom.

I'm sure your use of the phrase "real men" is meant ironically.

I was careful to not create any unwanted children.

I was also careful to not catch venereal disease but that's partly just because my personality is very risk-averse.

I consider myself a real man by some of my own standards. (I'm using "real" to mean how a man ought to be.) One of the most important things a person (male or female) can do is avoid creating unwanted pregnancies. So it's one of the things a real man should be careful about. (And I do not mean this ironically; I'm sincere.)

Elsewhere in the thread I see dispute about the effectiveness of precautions. Precautions (including condoms for sex) are (typically) not 100% effective; but hardly anything else is 100% effective either. A probabilistic description of reality is often better than an absolutist (all-or-nothing) one, especially if it has anything to do with the future! It's best to manage risks, by increasing probabilities of good outcomes and decreasing probabilities of bad outcomes.
