I don't know,the government, would contrary to what you probably think of the government , would probably do a very bi - partisan job ,les you for get - the government is administered by the 2/3 party system of Democrats ,Republicans and as of late independents, therefore a system of checks and balances exist.The democrats keep republicans honest and visa verse.... as for handing every thing over to the democrats ;the democrats have losing their inherent advantage since about 1960. It is about 31% democrats ,approximately 29% republicans and about 40 % independents that make up the electorate now.Goverment is government ; personally I prefer the federal as compared to the state goverment,regarding whether the states can adhere to the principles of the entire country as a whole, with each individual states they as of yet proven that they can abide by
