Ryan Bort - Yesterday 8:58 AM

It’s been just over a week since four students were killed and seven people were injured after 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley allegedly opened fire at Oxford High School in Michigan. Sandy Hook quashed the idea that any particular school shooting has the power to inspire Congress to enact common-sense gun reform, but one would think Republicans could at least refrain from going out of their way to glorify guns in the immediate aftermath of these tragedies.

They’d be wrong.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) on Tuesday night posted a photo of her four young children posing in front of a Christmas tree with military-style rifles. “The Boeberts have your six, @RepThomasMassie!” she wrote.

(No spare ammo for you, though)

The nod to Massie comes after the Kentucky Republican posted a photo of his family wielding military-style weapons. “Santa, please bring ammo,” he wrote. Massie was criticized sharply for the photo, which he posted just four days after the shooting in Michigan. He refused to apologize. “I’m going to double down,” he told conservative radio host Todd Starnes. “I’m never going to delete that picture.”

Boebert, and her children, have his back. The weapons both families are holding in the photos are not hunting rifles. They are military-style long guns designed to kill people.

You people just don’t think and simply react. Not to mention if you don’t care about innocent lives killed for convenience - to the tune of 2000 per day - then you really don’t care about these murdered children. You are depraved yet have the gall to criticize others

Hoplophobia is a mental disorder, toid, getting over it is a tough nut to crack, requires extensive psychotherapy and an education on guns - experience being the best teacher.

The Christmas photo of the Massie family is revealing if you know what to look for.

Thomas Massie seated at left is holding a Vietnam era M60 machinegun.
Rhonda Massie seated at right is holding a Thompson submachinegun - the old Chicago Typewriter.
The young girl seated at center is holding what appears to be either an MP5 or Uzi submachinegun.
Those standing are holding your basic AR15s and a couple of other "military style" rifles.

What in Sam Hill, you may ask, are these people doing with such weapons?

The answer is simple.

Like millions of American gun owners, the Massies may be collectors.
If Thomas or Rhonda hold a valid and current Class 3 FFL, owning a fully functional machinegun is legal.
If not, then the machineguns are either "demilitarized" or deactivated and cannot fire.
Or, they are semi-auto replicas that can fire and are perfectly legal to own.
And these can be used for hunting.

Leave it to the progressive propaganda machine - euphemistically referred to as "the Mainstream Media" - to attempt to connect dots that do not exist. I do not believe the Massies - or the Beoberts - are thumbing their noses or otherwise dancing on the graves of murdered children. That notion is patently absurd.

The Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in West Point, Kentucky is the biggest event of its kind in the world. It takes place every April and October and attracts upwards of 20,000 Second Amendment supporters. The night shoot is second to none.

Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot

BTW: Knob Creek, Kentucky was Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home.

P.S. The Beobert family owns and operates The Shooter's Grill in Rifle, Colorado.

Making these kind of foolish comments do absolutely nothing to help solve this horrific problem! Every child that has murdered others in one of these school massacres have come from a dysfunctional family and/or has had some degree of mental problems………Guns aren’t the problem! But you and your liberal friends will never face this fact. It doesn’t play into your agenda of gun control. If you really were concerned with protecting children you wouldn’t support the mass murder every single day from abortions used as birth control.

The members of these two families in this article have no record of mental instability or of a dysfunctional family, that I know of, but because they support the right to own guns you portray them as “dangerous!” What an ignorant statement with absolutely no proof of this being a fact…….Just vicious gossip!

Hohoho.... Your post is so freaking ridiculous, and the usual from the Right when confronted by indefensible truth that they cannot refute and only embarrass the Right if they tried. You are saying the totally specious crap that Boebert gets a pass from her cruel and classless statements because of abortion? Address the topic! Oh, sorry, I forgot you don't do that, you just troll.

Yes do the RIGHT thing--insult when you are confronted with the inconvenient and undeniable truth of what your party stands for today. Insult is your only option. Can you properly address the horrid actions of Boebert?

The best way to protect students is more armed defenders. If volunteer teachers were trained and armed a potential shooter would think twice before attacking a school, and could be quickly neutralized. Remember the church shooting where three in the congregation had guns, and one of them dropped the shooter.
We currently have armed police in many schools. An armed trained teacher should be at least as responsible.

Why are you always so dishonest? This is another opinion piece. What ‘truth’?

You have an endless stream of classless statements but think you’re justified. If you don’t like being called on your constant stream of bile too bad. You are no better than what you keep criticizing. There’s an indefensible truth for you.

Two schools in Texas that our kids teach at have teachers that are trained and conceal carry! There is such a short time to react when a school is attacked to stop the shooter before he takes multiple lives. By the time the police is called and gets to the school, the damage has been done. The best defense is to have an on sight defense plan!

This is the Undeniable Truth!……..Your opinion about the comments of others on their opinion on the right to own guns, even have their picture with their guns, is just your Opinion……nothing more! As usual, your liberal beliefs portrayed in these judgmental rants are indicative of a very controlling person that has convinced himself that he and he alone is the ultimate decider of “Truth!” Poor thing! 🥴
