And why might there be a large poll looking for work? I know two guys that that all they done for 25 years but because of the time on the job no one will hire them. Far cheaper to hire a newbie at half pay than to hire someone with know how.

Im talking about all companies. In fact in general, wages are stagnant for the past ten yrs. You are saying oil rig wages are down the last five yrs? Prob because there is a huge pool of workers wanting those jobs.

Spot on: Aside from a convenient means of laundering the recent Iraqi oil-grab by Haliburton the pipeline will provide little of value to the US: few jobs, no benefit to domestic oil prices, which would ill serve our long term interests anyway, and the additional risks of inadvertent and terrorist caused spills. So what's the hurry? To service Haliburtonistas and the aristocracy they support?

I agree. The pipeline will result in a few jobs and will not benefit Americans. Canada will export the oil out of our country to Europe. The risk of an oil spill that will contaminate the Aquifer is very real and the Canadian company does not have the best safety record. If the pipeline is such a good idea and there is no danger of a spill, then why does't Canada build a pipeline north to a Canadian port.

Disagree somewhat. The pipe line will be built by Americans, on American soil, by American made pipe. That pipe needs to be made, transported and delivered by Americans.

After it's finished and the oil is flowing it will be shipped to most likely China but in the end China wouldn't be using the sweet crude which will relax the market somewhat.

Keep making things up! If you check statics moving it by train is less safe than spillage from the pipeline. You want to condemn something put your ducks in a row before you spout bullshit.

For the most part liberals fail to think. Yes there will be spillage either way but pipe is far less likely than rail.
