No, nor should they be allowed to drive without an adult present.

CD: Bingo! Our Founding Fathers only wanted individuals with a capital interest in this country to vote! Otherwise, the electorate could simply vote themselves the National Treasury!!!!!

Our Founding Fathers also owned slaves. We are still working on getting rid of that bad idea.

Every branch of the US military allows 17-year-old people to join. At 16, some people will start thinking that in less than a year they can join the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and now the Space Force. So I say they should at least be able to vote for whom they want for their Commander-in-Chief....and in the country that they can sign up to protect and possibly die for.

Can’t be any worse than 35-40 million illegals voting. Look at the % of 16-18 year olds who cannot pass minimum tests for armed forces. It is not a reassuring number for this country or any way makes allowing them to vote a positive.

The Democrats are determined that there never be a legal election again. If you believe 2018, 2020, was legal you are a part of the demise of this country. I know some of the sorry slime in Fulton County that are gloating over getting away will stealing the election.

I'm not convinced they should vote, but do older citizens pay attending? I'm thinking not

No.... Voting age should be raised to 30... And only taxpayers should get to vote... Also, no one with dual citizenship should be allowed to vote... Ever ...

If they can serve in the military, they should be able to vote. But yes, no taxes, no vote. No prisoners should vote. No illegals. No dual citizenship, too. Live voting only unless a good reason is give and absentee ballot is requested with signature matching registration. Photo ID for live voting.

Personally, I think the age limit for joining the military should be higher than 17...those 17-year-olds can put their lives on the line for their country, yet they can't vote until they are 18, and can't have a beer until they are 21. Something's wrong there.

Wouldn’t they also need to change their responsibility age from 18 to 16 ?
If the parents are still responsible for them until they’re 18 then that creates another problem.

Why? The age limit for the military is 17. And the parents would not be responsible for them while they are in the armed forces, since they report to a commanding officer. The parents are out of the picture then. By the time they are trained and ready for combat they will most likely be either 18 or close to it anyway.
