I was thinking about this today, and out of all of em we have been blessed with; who was the best?? I will admit that some of them were NOT blessings! They didn't stay long.
Anyway, I have decided on ol Patches. She was probably the ugliest horse ever born; but she was all heart!! She was an appaloosa pony about 13 hands. No mane to speak of. About 14" of tail. Oh, black and white. Body, and feet like a mule. Blind in one eye. A head as big as a clydesdale. She was REALLY hard to look at!! I'll tell you what though, that ol gal would go anywhere she was pointed, or do anything those kids asked of her. She was absolutely bomb proof!!
On top of that, she was blind in her right eye. She hauled a lot of kids in a lot of different situations during the 10 years we had with her!! The vet figured she was around 33-35 when she had to be put down. Good memories!!
