From what I've gathered during my time here, A lot of the people you are talking to here on OPP are elderly and retired. And if by "the others" you mean people such as my son and his wife...they are busily bringing up my grandchildren, working towards their own retirement and living their lives according to what they believe in. They certainly don't have any plans to pick up their own guns and start shooting people because of political agendas!

If there are fanatical vigilantes who decide they need to do that, then they need to look at our country's laws against such actions. They could end up in jail with a multitude of legal problems to deal with.

And if things become so chaotic that our National Guard and other military protection is needed, then so be it. That is what they are there for.

Once again, it all boils down to two things:

A) most of those who support today's Democrats are cause and effect challenged, they simply lack the ability to see that a leads to b leads to c, and therefore

B) they are unable or unwilling to realize that what we see happening in America today, all emanating from the Democratic Party, is a mirror image of every single Marxist insurrection of the Twentieth Century -- the "social justice," the rioting and burning, the unending attacks on the president for imagined racism, fascism, etc, the complicity of mainstream media and the education system through disinformation and indoctrination, the complicity of everything from the entertainment media to sports, essentially creating an environment wherein no matter where anyone looks, there is left wing politics, no escape...

We are watching history repeating itself right here in America as a renegade political party vows to tear down the very institutions that have sustained our prosperity as a nation, our liberty and our national sovereignty, and clueless Americans are cheering it on.

They simply haven't a clue as to what they're actually supporting, and if they get what they think they wish for they will not be at all pleased.

Fair wages - "living wage" for individuals who are in high school level jobs, jobs that are supposed to teach work ethic, values and be a stepping stone to bigger better jobs, not a lifetime career flipping burgers at the nearest burger joint for a single mother eith a couple of kids with no idea where the father is, or who he is.
Equality - not totally, you just want to be more equal, not equal.
Individual Rights - not for any white person, just minorities.
Fair Representatives - but ONLY if the representatives are Democrat.

I'm elderly and retired - but we MUST be prepared, and accept the responsibility of our own defense. The cops and National Guard are not there to defend or protect you, just to investigate what happened and clean up the mess. Not saying go looking for a fight, but be prepared for one should it come to you and yours. I'm at a little advantage as I am retired military, trained with weapons, and own my share of self defense weapons. I believe every home (with no small children) should have a good .410 gage or 20 gage pump shotgun where it is readily available. In a dark house, the most terrifying thing a bad guy can hear is a pump shotgun slide chambering a round, and possibly the low growl of a family dog who knows his job is to protect his family.

And a President who owes his soul to China and Russia? It’s beyond my understanding that Americans would not want a strong economy, jobs, freedom to protect themselves and see their children and grandchildren grow up in a free America, an America that has been a beacon of freedom for most of the world.
What were our leaders thinking to allow mail in ballots, Muslims in our government who don’t believe in our Constitution and can’t be sworn into office on the Holy Bible? And what were Americans thinking who just vote The Democrat because they’ve always voted Democrat no matter who’s on the ticket. The Green New Deal?
What? Raise taxes? Lockdown the country because of the Communist Chinese virus? All this in a world gone crazy. Did we really believe this could happen?
