It is legal in many states to vote early, both my mail or in person. That is not evidence folks voted often.

If what the Democrats were doing in your second example were illegal, I suspect the RNC would have taken them to court. Different jurisdictions have different rules. In NC it is illegal to intentionally vote twice.

I suspect that many states to include NC do not have any safeguards in place to prevent a person from voting by mail and in person. I do not think that any states maintain an accurate database of registered voters. This is probably the reason you and other liberals are upset, because voting twice has happened and people were caught only because someone alerted authority and not because that city or state has a computerized method for cross reference. This is the heart of President Trump's statement. Making a law is fine and well but there has to be a way to consistently catch the law breaker.

Besides, Republicans in NC cried wolf about voter fraud so much that no one listens anymore. During the last election they claimed there were 30000 and were unable to prosecute a one. Turned out they were talking about votes from other states. Same is true nationally. Voter fraud is so rare as to be meaningless. Even the Trump commission investigating the 'problem' fell apart from lack of anything to do.

Voter fraud is just the Republican version of thumb sucking so they can sleep at night without having to deal with the fact that a majority of voters like the other side better.
