The biggest threat gun owners face are the attempts by states like California to regulate gun ownership out of existence. A 3-judge 9th circuit panel upheld a San Diego judge who ruled that if open carry is banned and conceal carry is too restrictive, then the right to bear (carry) arms in the Constitution has been violated. The 9th Circuit reversed en banc, but a Hawaii case for open carry was ruled favorably by a 3-judge panel of the 9th circuit. This ruling has not been referred to the 9th Circuit en banc, in hopes of keeping the issue out of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, California gun owners wake up every day facing a host of new gun restrictions aimed at frustrating gun ownership. Scalia in Heller acknowledged that states have the right to regulate firearms, but McDonald affirmed the individual right to keep arms applied to the states. The only relief from states hostile to the 2nd Amendment will come from the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Ca politicians pass restrictive gun laws that continue to be overturned, and they don’t care that citizens have their rights violated for specious reasons.

Many states have/are violating the Constitution every day, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, and California.
Just a few years ago a man moved into NJ, he had two guns disassembled in two boxes in his trunk, he had permits from the state he was moving out of. he was stopped by a cop for tail light and they asked him if he had any firearms, he said YES, they opened his trunk and after looking at the two firearms arrested him, he went to trial and was sentenced to 10 years. As far as I can see New Jersey has no 2nd amendment. Any way President Bush pardoned him after he spent over a year in prison.

If we let this kind of crap go on it will get to the point where it will make us criminals. And many of us in jail. The strong eat the weak, are we weak?
