During WWII France, people who resisted the Nazis were called traitors. Violent or not, they rebelled against the Vichy government. There was a name for people like you, Brian, they were called "collaborators." Also informers. I have no doubt had you been in France in those days, you would have been firmly in the Nazis' back pocket, good little ass-kisser that you are. When your people in the Warsaw. Poland, ghetto made their heroic stand against the Nazis, holding out for longer than the entire Polish Army, you would have sold them out, as "thugs."

I respect him and give him a B to B- grade. Dow up 65%. Unemployment down from 7.8 to 6.3%, although labor participation rate is too low. 100,000 troops out of Iraq, but Afghanistan still a mess. Gitmo still open so that knocks his grade down. My tax rates are the same. My healthcare monthly throw is down. Interest rates remain at historical lows, but that's bad news for savers. Deficit shrinking nicely although we still have a deficit. Fed debt level continues to climb so that knocks it down a grade.

My portfolios have all recovered. My real estate is now higher.

Yes. I am comfortable with a B to B- grade.

It's a shame that you do not understand that the true Unemployment is 24% and inflation is 14%. The DOW is up do to the fact Obama is printing 4.5 billion paper dollars bills a day. In a few months you will see the effect of all this.

Creative bookkeeping can do a lot with unemployment. If, for instance, you stop receiving unemployment for any reason whatsoever, you are deemed employed. If you receive a disability check, you have a job. If you are employed part time, for whatever reason, that counts the same as full. The last time I checked the figures was about 3 months ago, and at that time, more than 70% of the jobs created in 2013 were part time, and most of those were either minimum wage, or not much better. No worries, it's spun to make it look like a good paying, full time job. I do respect ability, and Obama's talent as an accomplished liar is beyond question.

It is a shame you don't understand that government doesn't control the economy. Business controls the economy. Whine to the people that hire...not to the people that attempt to regulate.

I respect you Mr. Tom. Because I believe you to be a gentleman. Something of which I cannot claim to be. There are a few more gentlemen that post on OPP. Mr. Slatten is one of them. When I examine the comments that you gentlemen submit, I sometimes feel ashamed of my crudeness.

I'm sure you already know my sentiments concerning the question you submitted. So I will attempt a gentlemanly response by not disparaging the subject of this topic and reiterate my respect for you as a gentleman.

First of all, Wolf, thank you for your comments.

Secondly, those same comments speak volumes to your capacity as a gentleman. Few are up to the task of always being gentlemen, but all efforts are to be commended.

I commend you, sir.

I agree, Tom. I believe true Americans should respect the will of the people, even if he/she is not their choice. We all get a vote. Exercise that right, and work with the results, until another election. In this day and age of severe partisan political differences, the lack of respect between opposing camps is destroying the country...from both sides. As a result, we have dysfunctional politics and we all suffer.

i do hope that you know that 'power' has become a 4-letter word to garbage progs and you should also know that these children will lie and cheat like no ones business come next election. even stevie wonder can see that. i stand firm on my first post on this topic. howabout the first lady telling school children to spy on their parents regarding made-up racism? think twice, post once my friend.

I see so many anti Obama posts today that I wonder if there is any respect at all for our president. I can only think all the disrespect makes America and Americans in general look real bad.

Where have you been? Read the New York Times. Having set the stage for the greatest welfare state in history, total destruction of energy production to arrest global warming, installation of free medical for over 30 million Americans; half the country is deeply committed to the man's ideology and the Progressive Democrat agenda. There is no question it will be supported in 2016. This could not have happened without this president setting the stage.

As for Americans and America looking bad, that's the intent. The hatred, bigotry, racism; the degradation of upper and working classes; the favoring of Islam over Christianity, the long sought after strangulation of free enterprise, the abandonment of a world presence finally putting America in it's place as a second world nation...all emanates from the top...that's the horrible responsibility of leadership, but the man is getting it done and he is widely respected for it.

Respect is a two way street. Some people just don't understand that I suppose...

Wow!! Where did you get the potent libation :? Unemployment is not down at all. There are 23 million unemployed but millions have stopped looking for work and are not part of the government statistics. If your helathcare costs are down someone else is picking up the slack. Our national debt is at 23 trillion when off balance sheet costs are included and more than half was incurred on Obama's watch. Gitmo needs to stay open . If released to the federal system the prisoners will be free before Obama's term ends. Some of those already released have come back to kill more of our troops. From a personal standpoint you may be doing fine as many people are, but what about the survival of America ? This man is a total failure both economically and foreign policy wise. We have become the laughing stock of the world and are no longer feared by anyone. China is on the verge of becoming the economic superpower and they are developing their military at a pace that could have them in the lead soon. The recent China/Russia alliance puts both countries in a position to thumb their noses at the USA and Putin is doing just that. Obama recently traveled to Japan seeking a trade agreement and came home empty handed. The middle class is disappearing as it is being converted to the poor class. For some, the picture is not bad at all but for the masses it is a disaster. Good Luck America !!!

Sadly no. I wish I was that young though. I'm 55, rich and retired due to working hard, not taking any handouts and saving instead of spending.

Have a nice day. I need to pack to go check on my Florida investment properties. Do you think I should upgrade to first class? I have the miles.

Point taken. However, I fail to see the separation between these two entities any longer.
