I see so many anti Obama posts today that I wonder if there is any respect at all for our president. I can only think all the disrespect makes America and Americans in general look real bad.

FOM, the GOP idea of showing respect and patriotism is by taking up arms, Cliven Bundy style, against the federal government. In their atrophied little reptilian, rethuglican brains, treason=patriotism.

Thats pretty twisted of the ones who think that way. So many are calling Obama a dictator but don't realize that if he was they would be in prison.

As vile as he is how could anyone respect him. The individual has to earn respect and can't rely on just holding the office to garner respect. If he was to be respected then the world would also respect the man but the world laughs at Obama and gives him no respect. Putin in Russia garners more respect then does our president who has made not only himself but our country a laughing stock in the world.

I have not seen you use expletives in place of his name to my memory. I find that at least a sign that you do respect yourself and America.

Damn Brian I'm not the GOP and I have zero respect for Obama. You blame a man for trying to make a living rather on the take from the government with the feds declaring 1000's of aches off limits in various states, your brain dead!

I agree, Tom. I believe true Americans should respect the will of the people, even if he/she is not their choice. We all get a vote. Exercise that right, and work with the results, until another election. In this day and age of severe partisan political differences, the lack of respect between opposing camps is destroying the country...from both sides. As a result, we have dysfunctional politics and we all suffer.

I think OPP is a good way to vent feelings otherwise pent up and taken out on others. Plus, you get satisfying validation from those who think like you. Plus, it's an easy way for big brother to keep tabs on you, the way you feel and add you to a list.

I respect you Mr. Tom. Because I believe you to be a gentleman. Something of which I cannot claim to be. There are a few more gentlemen that post on OPP. Mr. Slatten is one of them. When I examine the comments that you gentlemen submit, I sometimes feel ashamed of my crudeness.

I'm sure you already know my sentiments concerning the question you submitted. So I will attempt a gentlemanly response by not disparaging the subject of this topic and reiterate my respect for you as a gentleman.

It looks to me that not paying attention to what one marks on his or her voting ballot in the future will become a very important thing next time. Since most of the world knows that Obama is a fool, I think the world will now start to look up to America more now.
It has nothing to do with the GOP.

During WWII France, people who resisted the Nazis were called traitors. Violent or not, they rebelled against the Vichy government. There was a name for people like you, Brian, they were called "collaborators." Also informers. I have no doubt had you been in France in those days, you would have been firmly in the Nazis' back pocket, good little ass-kisser that you are. When your people in the Warsaw. Poland, ghetto made their heroic stand against the Nazis, holding out for longer than the entire Polish Army, you would have sold them out, as "thugs."

I respect him and give him a B to B- grade. Dow up 65%. Unemployment down from 7.8 to 6.3%, although labor participation rate is too low. 100,000 troops out of Iraq, but Afghanistan still a mess. Gitmo still open so that knocks his grade down. My tax rates are the same. My healthcare monthly throw is down. Interest rates remain at historical lows, but that's bad news for savers. Deficit shrinking nicely although we still have a deficit. Fed debt level continues to climb so that knocks it down a grade.

My portfolios have all recovered. My real estate is now higher.

Yes. I am comfortable with a B to B- grade.
