All of the aforementioned publications and broadcast organizations published or broadcast follow up articles or retractions, as they should have. Their actions were clearly covered by our first amendment the threat of suits is a joke.

Time will tell. These boys were falsely accused before any evidence was presented.
I doubt that you can accuse the boys or fathers of a shakedown. I hope they all end up millions poorer.

Forgive us lil guy if we are skeptical of your opinion. Hard to take people serious that fall apart at the site of a red hat.

Look up liable law cupcake, it is damn near impossible to get a verdict against a news organization. They might offer a pittance to avoid legal fees, but my bet is they counter sue the kids parents to recover the cost of defending from a friviolous suit.

as long as they report what they believe to be true and a retraction when they discover a mistake they are not liable. To suggest otherwise is frivolous for a liable attorney.

Don’t have to prove malice in this case no public figures lil guy. Might want to read what I originally said. Will be no counter suit fool. No organization that has been seen acting in bad faith wants to air their dirty laundry again. Just the fact that you are ok with what these organizations did says a lot about you. Of course we aren’t surprised.

You're dang right! Those kids handled the situation very well, and deserve whatever they get. They damn sure didn't deserve the National vilification, death threats, and everything else that went with it.
I think they have a slam dunk, and every suit should be put before a jury, and televised Nationally just to shame, and expose the perps. Won't happen, I know, but it's a nice thought.

Just think about the usual response by the left to threats to schools. This time, closing the doors and burning the students alive got a big yawn from our illustrative media. These leftists are full of hate, and they are past the point of trying to hide it, even where children are involved.

You can bet that those named never want this brought before a JURY!

Probably not. So how much do you suppose they'll pay to keep it out of the courts?

In the 70s the Warren Court ruled the press could say anything about a politician but that didn't give them the right to screw citizens and especially teenagers. This should be repealed. The msm is absolutely
the trashiest bunch of commies in history.

Very hard to sue the press but I’ll donate to the cause if this goes anywhere. Free and fair press is dead in America.

The difference here is they're minors and I think they better settle with those kids.

We know someone who leads in lying to the American people. Needs to be addressed in my opinion.
