And then they scream about how conservatives are the ones filled with hate. When your logic is that twisted, it's a wonder they don't turn themselves inside out.

Then along comes some bright spark with an answer. Give him a raise! Ah, yes, you sigh, if only the boss would go along with such a suggestion, that would be wonderful. Oh, no, our young upstart interjects, don't just suggest it to the boss, make him do it! Get the politicians to enact a law requiring that all employers will pay no less than an arbitrarily chosen hourly wage and impose severe penalties for non-compliance, up to and including death, then sit back and feel good about yourself as you watch the floor sweeper perform his daily broom-pushing ritual with a smile on his once downtrodden face. Ah, the bliss!

(Sound of wheels screeching, a loud crash and then? Silence...)

Oh, no! The floor sweeper has been laid off! Downsized. Right-sized. On the dole. Now you are tasked with cleaning up your own work space at the end of your shift because the floor sweeper is too expensive and your co-workers politely declined the boss' offer to take a pay cut to finance the janitor's 'living wage' payout for the floor sweeper. Damn capitalists! What we need is a more powerful government that can 'make' the employers give everyone a job with a good wage.

And so the scourge of socialism spreads it's tentacles into our society, commerce and politics.

I'd say we're maybe about halfway to the socialist utopia that is wage and price controls:

I believe a worker should be paid a fair wage for their labor.

What people do not take into consideration is that when wages go up, the cost of their product has to go up. Then the buyer has to pay more then when they buy the product and their wage increase is included in their selling price.

The shipper has to pay more in labor cost and fuel so that is passed on to the customer.

The grocery store employees wage goes up so the store must pass that increase in cost to you the consumer. Costing you more to buy food.

It is a vicious circle which makes that .25 cent pay raise cost you a $1.00 more so you are actually losing buying power.

I've heard quiet rumblings that the Fed may go bye bye. Nothing concrete, but... not sure how that would work but it'd be peeling another layer off.

Hello Larry the Legend,
My name is Dr. Mark Phuckerberg, and I have a PhD in swindling.

Recently I was appointed Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank and was ordered by the United Nations to print up Universal Pay for 7 billion people at $10 bucks an hour.

That's right, equal pay for unequal work, no matter who you are, Stone Age or Space Age.

Now, let's see, that's 7 billion people x 50 weeks/year x 40 hours/week x $10/hour = $140 trillion dollars.
or
7,000,000,000 x 50 x 40 x $10 = $140,000,000,000,000
(hmmmmm hmmmmm hmmmmm the presses are humming night and day)

All done. Next year, the World GDP might be more or might be less, depending upon human morale, but don't worry, each according to his ability, each according to his needs.

Ooops! It has just been determined that the Centralized Planners of this Communist Utopia in the One World Government are genetically superior with their Left Dominant Sided Brains and can recite "Gimme it" in 130 different languages.

They want a secret raise so they can all buy dachas.

I'll quietly print an additional 3% in funny-money beyond the $140 trillion, or $5.2 trillion extra and give it to the Piggycrats. Just like Orwell's "Animal Farm," all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

Using the mortgage amortization table trick, The Rule of 72 within a mere 24 years, the cost of living will have doubled: 72/3% interest rate = 24 years

Oh, no! the entire workers of the world are doomed to poverty in just 24 years!

We have a two class system! Masters and Slaves!
How did this happen?

So much for Utopia.

Noted and if you guys see anything hear anything just post it in a Topic so we can keep a running log of what transpires.

I’ve been going back through time in the archives and looking at the Topics and comparing them forward.

Connecting dots of what has happened / changed and what hasn’t.

Thank You.

That's been an ongoing argument for decades. As more and more people come to understand the way it works, this becomes more and more likely to happen. The first step is to audit their operations and take it from there. Remember this, they are accountable to no-one, not even the Congress that created them.
