A couple of days ago I was called a racist by a certain Mexifornian we all know. "As California goes, so goes the nation?" Here is a sample of that fine California diversity, tolerance and brotherly love he constantly spews, regarding those nice illegals and their supporters, who are such model citizens. In the town of San Francisco that he is so proud of, no less.

It's getting near time to quit coddling them.

This is outrageous! I will grant that the American students were looking for a rumble but I believe that the person who stated that it was only the Mexican flag that was worthy of honor, should have been dismissed and deported.

I do believe our government must take offense at these outwardly insulting comments. I live in Texas now and we have very peaceful Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

These Mexicans are aliens; many of them do believe that this state and others in the SW still belong to Mexico regardless of the Alamo. I also believe that too many have come in at one time. It's gotten past the controlled immigration quotas and is turning into a war to gain that part of the USA back under the Mexican government.

I would like to see aliens who are not in support of our government deported.

The World Nut Daily is a poor source of news . The demonstration by three so called patriot groups in front of Live Oak High School in Gilroy California was completely unnecessary. Georgine Scott-Codiga President of the Morgan hill Gilroy Patriots group said Cinco d Mayo is a circunstance of the issue. Four years ago on Cinco d Mayo two boys wore American flag shirts to school on Cinco d Mayo a Mexican American celebration of their Mexican heritage. The principle asked them to turn the shirts inside out in order to not cause a disturbance. They refused and the students were excpelled for the day. The parents obviously patriot type filed a suit against the school. The suit was thrown out by the court. The whole affair was a deliberate effort to stir up trouble.

The boy's were free to wear the flag shirts any other day of the year. The principal was doing his job of maintaining order. All the other students state that their is no racial tension in the High School. Later tonite a group of Latino school parents and community leaders plan their own gathering. Their argument has been that the show of US flags implies Mexcican Americans and other Latinos cannot be patriotic and proud of their heritage at the same time. The Latino group decided against a counter demonstration.

There is no majority racial group in California. There are 185 differant languages spoken in the California. We all celebrate St Patricks Day along with the irish who are proud of their heritage, Chinnese New Years celebration who are proud of theirs. Native Americans who are proud, All of whom are also proud to be American. Mexican Nationals don't celebrate Cinco d Mayo they celebrate Mexican independance day. Cinco d Mayo is a minor holiday in Mexico, but is widly celebrated especially in areas with substantial Mexican American populatiions such as east San Jose, and Morgan Hill, Gilroy area. The demonstrations by these so called patriot groups recall my day's as a farm boy. They are what I call shit disturbers. Litle boy's that go roung poking sticks in cow pies trying to raise a big stink.

What do flags represent? It's nationalism bozo. Not ethnic pride or any other mumbo jumbo you might puke up. It's insulting. This is U.S.A.
Try going to Mexico fly the stars and stripes at school you putz. You want to give up this land? Start with your property.

Hear, Hear!! Excellent Post!
You don't see our (current) African immigrants claiming a day of School to wave their African flag, while dressed in grass clothing and head gear, or wrapped in colorful lenens, from their Native land!
Nor do you see the Chinese and Japanese claiming a School day to wear comonos, waving Buddah flags along with their own Native Flags.
Nor do you see our American Indians claiming a School day to wear Buffalo skins, and bone beads, caring totem pools.

This is America!

Most legal immigrants are Proud to be here in "America!" Otherwise they would not have sought the Journey!

Our American Indians, and other Cultural races have Celebrations and Feasts that are planned and that everyone can come of their own "freewill" to participate in and help Celebrate their own Proud Heritages!

What the Supreme Court has done in our Schools, is "Provoked a Forced sit back, shut up, and let them have it", a bad attitude that will continue to spawn "Racial Upset" for years to come in our Youth's schools, and their families affected!
The Mexicans can go to a Park and celebrate Cinco De Myo, like the rest of America's peoples do. Or pay for a parade, anything but cause such BS in "America's" School Systems.

You know, if a dog comes and lays a big turd in your yard, it stinks like hell! Right? But after time, it begins to dry up and the smell fades away. That is unless someone with a Stick comes and pokes in it, stirring it up! Then it stinks big all over again.
Our Own Supreme Court; carrying that "Stick!"

What in the Hell is wrong with the Supreme Court?? Are you all "Obotamanized?"

Past time I would say! I remember a time that kids were expected to respect each other and parents set the example. The people out shouting obscenities, they sure are showing their kids how adults should behave when they disagree. But, I have found the Liberal Law 101.. When in trouble, when in doubt, run in circles scream and shout. And when you shout, use trigger words.... like "racist", "bigot", "liar", and toss in real personal attacks, call people names, question their parentage, and then expect them to support you emotionally and financially. When that fails, then cry real tears to make people feel sorry for you.

Let me get this straight, Niki boy; Hispanics take exception to American citizens displaying the US flag on US soil, threaten violence over it, and it is the flag displayers' fault? The Irish and Chinese you mentioned; Do they get all "offended" and threaten violence if an American flag is displayed on one of "their" holidays? Hispanics are allowed to display the Mexican flag on US soil, and US citizens are not allowed to display the US flag on US soil? It might "offend" the poor, maligned Latinos? Why don't you move your ass to Mexico?
I have a suggestion: Since Cinco de Mayo is 5/5, I suggest that on 2/2 Latinos are not allowed to display the Mexican flag. Oh, what is 2/2? Read your history book. (Hopefully your reading ability exceeds that of your spelling ). February 2, 1848 is the date of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, when Mexico formally surrendered to the US, and ceded TX, NM, AZ, CA, most of CO, and parts of OK and WY to the US. Maybe your precious "Mexican Patriots" should be reminded of that. Oh, 4/21 would be an acceptable alternate date. That was when Santa Anna's army was destroyed at the Battle of San Jacinto, TX.

No body is talking about giving up land this country is a melting pot. Morgan hill School superintendent said that students were free to wear whatever flag they chose. The Latino kids instead of a counter demonstration met later in a local park to celebrate Cinco d Mayo and flying both the American and Mexican flags. In the school many White kids wore gold and green to show their support and respect for the Mexican American Kids and their celebration of their heritage. The kids all agree their is no racial tension in the school. If that's the case I think it's a wonderful thing. There is no place in California for white supremacy or white supremist. The issue stewed for four years untill Feburary when an appellant court rulled that campus saftey outweighed the four students first amendment cliams.

That ruling is what brought the crazies. including about 30 Motorcycles gang members. Singing a very loud version the national anthem. All of the commotion was on behalf of befuddled High school students that put out a video on Sunday that paints their school as one fused buy friendship and respect. In California all of the 21 Spanish Mission of the El Camino Real founded by Father Juanipero Serra fly the Stars and stripes over the California Bear Flag over the Mexican flag. In the local park where the Cinco d Mayo celebrants gathered there were Aztec dancers and speakers with lots of talk in English about love of America, pride of culture and the importance of Cinco d Mayo as also a vital chapter in of "American " history .

Cinco d Mayo celebrates a victory of a small Mexican Force against a larger professional force at the battle of Puebla. A victory that stalled that stalled plans by French forces to invade the US on behalf of the Confederacy. If it weren't for Mexican resistance we might be hoisting the French flag. If it weren't for the parents of these Mexican American kids there wouldn't be any one to pick the nations fruits and vegetables
