The left will, obviously, be dismayed at such an attitude, since they have our best interests at heart  . I would guess the right will also complain, somehow proving that the left started this rumor to discredit them. All the world knows that both sides have been working tirelessly, since 2006, to get elected and re elected so as to continue their tireless efforts to - get elected and re elected - so as to continue their tireless efforts to - get elected and re elected - so as to ....

Here is a real beauty. When a person thinks to say such things as stated below in public, you know the person is disturbed.

Cut and paste from http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/miss-senate-candidate-chris-mcdaniel-distances-himself-comments-reparations-and-mamacita_786794.html

"“If they pass reparations [for slavery], and my taxes are going up, I ain’t paying taxes,” McDaniel said during a radio broadcast seven years ago, according to an audio clip posted by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday. McDaniel also had a riff about "regrettably" having to learn Spanish if he moved south of the border: "You’ll have to learn just enough to ask where the bathroom is. Baños. Baños. That’s what you say.” When someone else in the studio mentioned the word "mamacita," McDaniel said: "I’m an English-speaking Anglo. I have no idea what it means, actually, but I’ve said it a few times, just for, you know, fun. And I think it basically means, 'Hey, hot mama.' Or, you know, 'You’re a fine looking young thing.'"

Great post. I enjoyed the article, and I agree with Floyd 100%. My favorite sentence: If Americans were smart, they’d cut Congressional salaries rather than increase them.

I honestly want Congress to pass an Amendment stating that anyone in Congress who has a worth over $1 Million between Themself & Their Spouse (Wife's & Husband's wealth is equal-to-or-greater than $1 Million) doesn't get a Salary & isn't entitled to the Extra Monies for Congressional Positions like Speaker... And CongressFolks' Pensions are Dependant on Their Salaries Only, NOT ON THE EXTRA MONIES FROM SPEAKER AND THE LIKE...

Fortunately we Republicans have much higher standards than Democrats. We don't defend our miscreants to the death like they do. The bad news is that it's not hard to have much higher standards than Democrats.

Passionately kissing a staffer, in public (Duh!), shows a real lack of judgment and may be cause for resignation, but this guy McDaniel shows a real like of decency and that is, I feel, cause for resignation. (And, yes, any Democrat that has done similar or worse should resign, like Clinton should have.)

That's only because cameras were not in the room, had they been, well.. Besides, no one is buying that the kiss was spontaneous, was a one timer, or was not post or pre coitus. I expect all public officials to act this way, power is an aphrodisiac after all. This is just a case of a blatant campaign lie being exposed publicly.

Damn shame we can't fire them like any other employer would for poor performance. We could close down Washington and hire a replacement.

I'll tell you what's worse... when any representative signs a contract to anyone against our governmental process, as in signing a contract with Norquist. Where are those resignations????

That is more important than where someone presses his lips.

It is an ignorant bias hateful post, you have stereotyped half of America in a negative light, you are delusional, something I cannot readily prove, but your comment does that well enough.

But with whom or what would you replace them with? I have a very well trained black lab/shepherd mix. You could substitute him for Obama and no one could tell the difference.

John Adams said that our country and Constitution would only survive if we elected Christian men of high moral and ethical standards: I think the American electorate body leaves a lot to be desired: that's why landed property owners voted early in our country's history. As more and more "blocks" of voters were included in the "democratic vote", our country has been in decline. It takes intelligence, research, and an understanding of human history to cast a good vote for America's survival.

No it isn't. More like such an obvious statement that everyone with a brain knows it is a fact. The fact that someone with the same morals as the miscreant can't see it says a LOT.

I don't remember meeting you before today. Welcome to 1PP. Yes, our country being run by people with no decent standards, no principles for living, little honesty but lots of pragmatism has not been very successful. Things get done for the wrong reasons, and it seems to me that nothing is thought through before acted upon. And that includes the elections. Sad, that a nation with many educated people, many thinking people cannot function satisfactorily. I believe that the reason is that we elect the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
