Yes, as I stated/wrote before, many, if not most, politicians misspeak, especially when they have to ad-lib. I am reminded of a scene in the old 70s Robert Redford movie, 'The Candidate,' in which the candidate became flustered with the constant demands of campaign speech-making.

My goodness.... we do find things to keep us unhappy with the President. Perhaps those parents live in the magical land where they do not age.... one of those extra states obama spoke of.... and according to him, actually visited: "I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go.''

As you continue to search for these things, let me know if you come upon the facts of whether he prefers his toilet paper facing in or out.... I am sure we can find something wrong about either way.

I think a more important question would be does he leave the seat up, or down. The answer to that one could have harsher implications.

Indeed, Arch, that is something to be pondered...by someone.

However, not by me.

There must be a twitter someplace about it..... another poster insists that he tweets while sitting on the toilet.... and we know he was offered a gold toilet... https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=i8ZzEiUYrSc So, the question of up or down has to be covered in the news.... and probably criticized by his adoring media.

Well, I don't deal in Twitter or follow it, except for the excerpts from all the online broadcasts of various tweets by numerous celebrities. I also do not engage in Facebook. For better or worse, the extent of my social media is restricted to OPP involvement. That, in and of itself, is more than enough for me.

BTW, please don't cut 'n paste comments from readers of the article(s) who suggested he meant that. Just Trump's words, please.

I've noticed, cold iron, that since I posted the above request for proof of your assertion that Trump was speaking to the Korean Vet's children making the request for the remains, you have come up with absolutely nothing. With little doubt in my mind, I believe that you are once again wrong with another of your assertions.

But, you still have time to offer up proof. I will periodically check back.

Nice piece, Fullspinzoo, and I appreciate your effort. But, the video does not speak to the main thrust of the initial post: That President Trump claimed to have spoken with "thousands" of Korean War Vet's parents, when there is no evidence that he even spoke to one. Given the average age a Korean War Vet parent would be is between 105-120 years of age, the claim is unproven and unlikely. I would not question that he may have spoken to other generations of Korean War Vet families. But that was not his claim, which seems as hyperbolic bluster.

“One of the things that really, I’m happy, is that the soldiers that died in Korea, their remains are gonna be coming back home. And we have thousands of people that have asked for that. Thousands and thousands of people. So many people when I was on the campaign – I’d say, ‘Wait a minute, I don’t have any relationship’ – but they said, ‘When you can, we’d love our son to be brought back home.’ You know, the remains.”
--– Donald Trump, speaking with Fox News. Perhaps obviously, such “parents” – if they actually existed, would be in their early 100s. At least.

I give/gave him credit for admirable efforts to bring the remains home. There simply was no need for his exaggerated claims. Apparently, he can't keep himself from stretching the truth to the point of appearing as a lie.

Let's face it. He has a tendency to stretch the truth a little bit once in awhile, but to have a series of outright lies, I don't buy it.

Well, one can take their pick: deceit, deception, dishonesty, disinformation, distortion, evasion, fabrication, falsehood, fiction, inaccuracy, aspersion, misrepresentation, slander, calumniation, falsification, fib, hyperbole, invention, mendacity, misstatement, prevarication, subterfuge or whopper.

The simple, plain and basic truth is always the best. And, obtaining the release of Korean Vet's remains is worthy of the truth.

He said he was going to do that several times. So where are these so-called lies? You gotta have some proof, man. You just can't say it and expect us to believe you. maybe your lying, without any proof. Could that be the deal. Show some evidence, man.

Here is the exact quote from Stars and Stripes: Trump said he received “countless calls and letters” from family members asking for help obtaining remains. He brought up the issue with Kim at the "very last minute," he said.

“Even during the campaign, they’d say, ‘Is there any way you can work with North Korea to get the remains of my son back or my father back?’ So many people asked me this question,” Trump said. “And, you know, I said, ‘Look, we don’t get along too well with that particular group of people.’ But now we do. And he agreed to that so quickly and so nice – it was really a very nice thing.”

He misspoke, he may have intended to say grandfather, but he said son. Ergo, that makes him a liar in some people's minds. Never mind that he succeeded in gaining the cooperation of NK in exuming those bodies and returning the remains.... the focus is the use of the word "son."

I believe it's already in the works. If he doesn't it will put him in a world of hurt because he already promised and I think he mentioned it in the Hannity interview. If you watch the interview with Hannity, I'm sure he talks about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9llSNXqqxQ I believe at 10:40 he talks about humanitarian issues, I kind of recall. Tell me if I'm wrong.
