I recently read an article that stated voters should only be those that own property.
I have to agree that would put a lot of whining to bed.
Property owners have more invested in America than those who haven’t yet made that choice to invest into America.
That’s my opinion.
Show me an eighteen year old that owns property and I’ll show you someone who’s thinking about the future( not their next high).

Our founders set it up that way, only landowners could vote. But as the country grew dumber we change it to anyone can vote.

I think like my forefathers and father thought. Only true loyal American patriots should be allowed to vote like the original founders intended. Yes, property ownership should be required and the same requirements immigrants are required to do, be able to read and write English and have a basic understanding of our country's history.

America's official language is ENGLISH not Spanish. Get with the program or get out of our America.

The voting age should be raised back to 21 years old. It was lowered by Nixon because he was trying to get out of political hot water. The average 18 year old is a communist. He/she has never paid any bills has never paid any taxes. Has never paid his/her own rent. He/she is usually in college and doesn't even pay for that. Everything they ever consumed was given to them. Therefore I believe at 18 a person is not capable of casting a well thought out vote. If the 18 year old is in the military it could be a different story.
