Congress should pass a law that any convicted criminal caught with any firearm shall be sentenced to not less than twenty years with no chance of parol.
A second offences shall be sentenced to not less than fifty years with no chance of parol. That may slow up some criminals.
God bless America and the President
They already have laws for a felon having a gun.. If on probation or parole its more severe than a felon who is free from reporting requirements etc but still, a felon can never own a gun again without more severe sanctions imposed.
I like your numbers !!

Ironic that the only guns the left doesn't want to confiscated are the ones Illegal alien MS-13 members are using.
The illegals, gangs, criminals etc don’t buy their weapons from stores, its all underground.. So they don’t care about the laws anyway other than liking how our government wants to remove our ability to defend ourselves..

Archie, guys like you had your chance. Gun-violence in the US is wholly out of control. Give me all of your freaking guns. Enough! You are okay with this slaughter, it appears, and as such should be excluded from debate. Keeping the Second Amendment was fine with me--until you guys and the NRA buried your heads in the sand. You, and others like you, choose to do nothing. Santa Fe HS is on your head. Seriously! Disgusting and inhumane behavior. Criminal!
If gun violence is out of control, perhaps you can explain the following...
Since the ridiculous gun ban expired, the population of the US has increased by some 40 million people. There have been 12 million concealed carry permits issued, more than 100 million more guns are now in private ownership, and yet, somehow, the murder rate has decreased by 50%. These are US government statistics. Where is the bloodbath? There are parts of Australia where the murder rate is higher than the US. Mexico has strict gun control and their murder rate is five times as high as ours. With one third of our population they had twice as many murders last year. There are 3242 counties or the equivalent in the US, and more than half of them had NO murders last year. More than half the murders occurred in barely 2% of these counties. For instance, Alabama's murder rate is lower than the UK if you discount the murders in Brimingham and Mobile. Georgia's murder rate, already lower than a number of states with strict gun control, are about the same as the UK if you don't count metro Atlanta, and Savannah.

Careful. They'll be armed with cocoa and crayons.
I'm not worried. I have Popsicles for them.
The problem is that we already have the laws on the books, our government will not spend the money required to enforce them.
Prohibited person in possession of a firearm, 5 years, no parole. Got ammo, 5 more years, no parole.
Cross a state, 10 more years. Cost to impose 20 year sentence, about $1,000,000.
Now multiply that by the number of prohibited persons with firearms.

Don’t you just know I saved this extremely informative piece for future references..
I’ll only add to your post by reference...
While grabbing the most headlines, gun violence is not limited to mass shootings...Gun fatalities include homicides, accidents, and suicides. There were 38,658 firearm deaths in the United States in 2016. Of those fatalities, 22,938 were suicides, and 14,415 were homicides.
No part of the country has been spared mass shootings. The 10 deadliest incidents have occurred in Texas, California, Florida, Virginia, Connecticut, Oklahoma, and Nevada.
When adjusted for the population size, five of the deadliest 10 states are in the South, and six are among the 10 poorest U.S. states. In all but five states, more than half of all firearm fatalities were suicides.
A good article with sub parts to click on to see more information as well..
24/7 Wall St. reviewed data on gun violence by state based on the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which tracks the number of gun-related deaths in each state.

Here is something the MSM ignores.
Many/Most of the mass shooters were on prescription drugs, or coming off of them.
Any statistics on that?
The commercaials by big Farma warn us of that.
Should those kids have been on prescription antidepressants?

No. They need to be prescribed leather belts across their asses, and work for every privilege. It's not complicated.

I know but the penalty is just a slap on the wrist in most states. Put some teeth in the laws and watch violations drop.
God bless America and the President
