It may be true that this killer's father was irresponsible in keeping his guns secure, but we don't know that. The fact is this kid had a journal, a computer, and a facebook page where he posted his intentions to "shoot up a school" along with spooky stuff like pentagrams and he wore "Born to Kill" T-shirts. And, nobody saw this coming? Go figure.
Moreover, the similarities between Dimitrios Pagourtzis and Eric Harris, the Columbine killer, are eerie. They both kept journals about their intentions, they both obtained weapons illegally, they both wore black trench coats and high black boots to school, they both manufactured explosive devices, and they both used a shotgun. A Columbine first responder believes that Pagourtzis may have studied the Columbine killers and patterned his attack after them. But we don't know that either. Still the similarities are striking.
