You are so right. There were and are, many trades one could get into by becoming an apprentice. But those in the more technical field's had to have a high school diploma to request to be a apprentice. Just as now there were many that did not think an education was a needed quality. That is why we have so many wage earners that have no skills in any type of employment where one can make a decent wage.

High schools need to offer more trades courses. Courses like modern auto mechanics, electrical, welding, plumbing, carpentry, computer technology, nursing and give students 2 years to migrate to the trade that interests them and then learn it for 2 more years. Not all kids are college material for indoctrinating.

That is why the MDTA program came in, there were math classes available also machine shop, welding, brick laying and a few others.

The program graduated many but was ended because of lack of participants.

The ones that need the training were too busy shooting basket ball than trying to learn a skill to be self sufficient. They would follow their parents example of depending on welfare to get by.

It seems that this generation has very few high school graduates that actually show any type of ability to enter any advanced workforce. The reason, I believe, there are no trade quality shops in the high schools, is because these children have been misled into believing everyone should get an college education whether they have the ability or not and there is no need for skilled people in the trades.

Brother nothing is just handed to you, it was entrusted to me to preserve and protect not to use for personal gain. Just like Americs, it was left to the people to protect not to use for personal gain. That is hard work.

You said you didn't need money in a bank to secure your retirement because you have land. Now you're saying the land is not for personal gain. Your story isn't adding up.

My ancestors came to America in 1802, worked hard, became American citizens, many fought for, bled and died for the privilege of being an American citizeens.

They were given nothing but an opportunity and freedom to work hard for what they accumulated and preserved. My ancestors accumulated what has been entrusted to me to protected and preserve and pass on to my decendants.

Oh, excuse me, it wasn't "handed" to you, it was "entrusted" to you. Yeah, that makes all the difference in the world. LOL

People seem to forget that America is a land of freedom and opportunities not a land of welfare and a free ride.

Like the free ride your getting on the backs of your ancestors?

Americans have been fighting to protect and preserve the freedoms and rights of its citizens since the birth of our great country.

And who have they been fighting? Other Americans. All threats to American freedom have in fact come from Americans themselves, there have been no exceptions to that pattern since the birth of our ever-conflicted nation.

The greatest and strongest counntry ever in the world was the Roman empire but it did not fail from an invading army it failed from within by greedy crooked politicians. Today our precious America is faced by the same forces of evil and corruption the Demon-crat swamp dwellers.

The Roman Empire was far from the strongest country ever in the world. It's just the classic example of an empire as taught by the the Christian perspective on world history. But I understand your point, indeed it was internal forces that brought Rome down.

There's actually been a lot of analysis on the parallels between the fall of Pax-Romano and the current state of of Pax-Americana. One of the patterns that seems quite clear is the disconnect from reality that governments and society alike indulges in. This is exactly what I see in Trump and his supporters, a blatant disconnect from reality.

We have a President with backbone that is fighting to preserve America and what it stands for. You may not like his style or ways but a fight for survival has no rules, it is fight or die.

Yeah, none of that is true. Trump has no backbone, he's too wishy-washy and hiding that behind his "keeping people guessing" act is only going to fool people for so long. He caters to people who are loyal to him and he doesn't even try to represent the rest of America, which is about 70% of us.

No, I don't like his style. He's a 2-bit slime-ball. And I would understand making exceptions for that if he was in fact fighting for America but he's not... He's bullshitting America. So I don't see any reason to respect him.

And stop being such a drama queen, we are NOT in a fight or die situation. We have some massive problems to solve but if we act like adults instead of chickens without heads we might have a chance.

Yes, I’m new so please be gentle! I’m here to learn. I just read about the Fiduciary Rule and it is interesting. I will investigate in further.

What hit me was the Hippocratic Oath analogy. The original one sounds kind of crazy but it said to “Do No Harm”. It also stated that physicians would not perform abortions. It has since been modernized, there are different versions now.

What kills me about the Democratic Party is that it supports this. 47.5 million babies have been aborted from 1973-2015 according to the CDC. What kills me about the Republican Party isn’t they haven’t done enough to stop this genocide—more babies have been killed in their mother’s womb than all the casualties in all our wars combined.

From what I read in your article, the Fiduciary Rule sounds like it would benefit us. I just don’t really care about money, I want more to be done to help women facing crisis pregnancies.

To abort a baby is to lose a precious life...they’re not the only victims. Try talking to a woman who has had abortion(s), their entire family is impacted. Just google it. And don’t believe all the propaganda. We were all zygotes!

No one makes such a decision to abort lightly. How can Democrats support this? How many future Democrats have been annihilated?

May the a God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob have mercy on us all. Do you understand what I mean?
