The country is divided between two sub species, believers and reasoners. There is work being done that's looking at the parts of the brain that involves reasoning that affects beliefs, and there is a difference between the two. It would only make sense that there would be a part of the brain that processes new information that either is working or isn't when addressing a firmly held belief. The person that already is done thinking about something will not be actively processing new information if he has shut down and doesn't feel they need to look at the new information. New fact comes in, one person is actively thinking about it, the believers immediately sees the lying media is saying something, nothing, no need to think about it. One brain is working it, the other is doing nothing, has a dead zone.

The most striking thing about liberal progressives is their fear of mounting an articulate and convincing defense of their own ideology, not its policies, but the underlying philosophy that drives it, and as a consequence of that fear, their only recourse is to remain forever in attack mode. Yet, cloaked in all their attacks are elements of the progressive philosophy projected onto its opponents.

I can guarantee that if I personally am not terrified of "anything left of center", then Trump sure as hell is not. He's made it abundantly clear that he isn't afraid of you fools.

BTW, Pete, Hitler did not divide the German people, excluding the Jews and other "vermin", he united them, and that was by no stretch easy. He did not base his ideological and political philosophies upon conservatism or liberalism or libertarianism or any other ism, he selected elements of them all, including religions, with which to fashion his own political system, his own "ism", elements that would enhance and boost his drive for power. And those elements of all philosophies that would not or could not accomplish his mission, he rejected. Yes, he despised Marxism, bolshevism, and communism, among others, but, ironically, he adopted the oppressive elements of all of them to build his unique form of tyranny. At the heart of Nazism lies a particularly virulent brand of racism. 50 million people died under the jack booted Swastika.

So, forget the right-wing/left wing bullshit, and give us an honest assessment of the ideological philosophy of liberal progressivism and how it benefits the human race. IOW, what exactly do you stand for and why is it supreme among the politics and governance of man? If you need any help with that, let us know.

Trumpy was put in office by voters who believed him to protect Second Amendment rights, stop illegal immigration, promote fair trade, stop continual, illegal, unConstitutional, immoral warmongering...so far he has been a disappointment to me.
