Teabag09, something is wrong with your message. The title of your message CONTRADICTS the substance of what you are presenting. Voting democrat, the party that has inherent similarities to Communism, Socialism, and Marxism that doom the people to poverty and hopelessness.

Communism, Socialism, and Marxism, Islam, are the root causes of the extreme poverty of the countries you've portrayed. People were initially hoarded like animals to be feed without allowing them to use their potentials, the gifts of God that are given to people. E.g. NK, Venezuela, Cuba, the Middle East, and many countries under the dictatorial control. These people are under control of their leaders.

People are made dumb, lazy, and just ignorant slaves, just follow the leaders who hoard them like animals. As soon as the ration from the government dries up, then they all riot and cause chaos, and violence happen all over. The people are hungry, deprived of the basic needs to live as human being.

In free countries where people are given freedom to explore their potentials, their talents and gifts of God, are the most productive and innovative people. Where can you find them? Here in America, because of the kind of government we have as Constitutional Republic. We have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that the brilliant Founders instilled for their posterity. In addition, we are a Christian nation. There are unlimited potentials in every human being if they only use it, or if their government allows them to use it.

Many are brilliant, hard workers, innovative. You can find them all here in the land of the free, America.

Time went by, influx of different cultures from socialist countries, Islam countries, arrived in America; There are still remnants of slavery that they could never change, where vengeance and hatred, are their capital to survive. These are the biggest root causes of problems that the US is trying to battle. These people never understood that abundant opportunities awaits them. That all are allowed to pursue, life, liberty, and happiness. Several atonement were provided, but did not work. They persisted in hatred and vengeance. Those many who used their talents reaped the rewards from it, became successful.

But many linger in hatred, violence and to free load. That's the kind of lives they mastered. Democrats use them to propagate because those are their tools they have to present to the world. So their positions as elected leaders continue. A clever way, but deceptive and dumb.

Venezuela is a federal presidential republic where the President is both the head of state and the head of government. The country has a multi-party system, which allows for many parties to form and vie for any seat they wish. Nicolás Maduro is the current president of Venezuela after succeeding Hugo Chavez in 2013.

The current National Assembly was formed after the elections December 6, 2015, and it is a unicameral( a legislative body having a single legislative chamber) federal legislature.

The democratic party is not a socialist party. Venezuela failed due to its newly elected president turned dictator and nothing to do with socialism. Socialism has never been the cause of discourse or failure, it's the dictators repressing its people that has always been the problem. To use a social program does not equate to a form of government.

Were you able to keep a straight face while you typed this truly ignorant defense of socialism? Never surprises me how masterful leftists are at digging up fallacious denials of the facts about the ideology they embrace.

What Caused Venezuela's Collapse Is No Mystery — Except To Economically Illiterate Journalists

Economics: Why is it that reporters keep scratching their heads about Venezuela's descent into extreme poverty and chaos? The cause is simple. Socialism. End it and you will end the misery.

When the New York Times wrote about Venezuela's ongoing collapse a year ago, it described how the country was suffering "painful shortages … even of basic foods," and how "electricity and water are being rationed, and huge areas of the country have spent months with little of either."

Here is how the Times explained the reason for Venezuela's dire situation: "The growing economic crisis (was) fueled by low prices for oil, the country's main export; a drought that has crippled Venezuela's ability to generate hydroelectric power; and a long decline in manufacturing and agricultural production."

There's no mention — not one — of the fact that Hugo Chávez tried to turn Venezuela into a socialist paradise, policies that his successor Nicolás Maduro has continued. The Times' coverage is par for the course.

Venezuela was never a model free market economy. A couple decades ago, the Heritage Foundation gave it a 59.8 ranking on its Index of Freedom — which measures how free or government-controlled an economy is. That put it at the edge of being "moderately free."

Then Chavez nationalized the oil industry, agricultural operations, transportation, power generation, telecommunications, steel production, banks. Today Venezuela is the third least free economy in the world, behind only Cuba and North Korea.

As a direct result of those actions, Venezuela went from being on the wealthiest countries in South America — one rich in natural resources — to a country where people are literally fighting for scraps of food. Last year, Venezuela's economy shrank 18%. The unemployment rate is 25% and climbing. Inflation could reach 2,068% next year. Riots have become routine.

As we have noted many times in this space, it is socialism, not oil prices or the weather or greedy businessmen or any other such factor that's to blame for Venezuela's economic crisis. This is what socialism produces. Always and everywhere. It is as close to an iron law of economics as there can be.

Yet reporters continue to obfuscate, if not totally ignore, this economic reality when they try to explain to readers what is going on down there.

The Los Angeles Times says that it's only "anti-government protesters" who "blame Venezuela's economic crisis on the policies of Maduro and his predecessor, Hugo Chávez." While "supporters of the government say the culprits are a drop in international oil prices as well as 'corrupt' business leaders."

There's no attempt made by the reporter to say who is right.

An explainer by the Associated Press says the "oil boom and bust" is to blame for the crisis. "The plunge in world oil prices has left the government owing money across the board, from foreign airlines to oil service companies. Most of the anti-poverty gains made under Chavez have been erased and people are grappling with severe food and medicine shortages."

USA Today said that the reason Venezuelans were resorting to hunting dogs and pigeons for food was because "although Venezuela has the world's largest petroleum reserves, the country has suffered from a combination of lower oil prices and tight limits on dollar purchases that have cut off vital food and most other imports. The result has been a plunging economy and the world's highest inflation rate — above 700%."

Others blamed a drought for the country's problems. The Wall Street Journal reported last spring that "the newer hardships are water scarcity and increasingly critical power blackouts — a byproduct of the lack of water in a country dependent on hydroelectric dams."

Why do reporters ignore the obvious? We'd surmise that it's largely because liberal journalists are infatuated with the idea of socialism.

Here's how the AP lovingly described Chavez: "a political outsider promising to upset the old order and funnel some of the country's enormous oil wealth to the poor. Poverty rates fell sharply during his administration, and many people continue to see him as a beloved Robin Hood figure who gave them houses, free health care, better education and a place at the table in government."

That list of "accomplishments" reads like the Democratic Party platform.

It is their unwillingness to admit that socialism can't work that drives so many mainstream journalists to look for something, anything, else to blame when socialist economies invariable fail.

You are wise beyond your years. Total tongue in cheek. It hit me as soon as I saw the headline. If this country goes left in 18 and 20, that's exactly what our children have to look forward to and half of this country can't see that. Mike

Its a crock bull s*** Sam Brownback former governor of Kansas sold the populace on trickle down economics to cut taxes for business and the wealthy people who did not need a tax cut on the premise that the low tax base would attract businesses from high tax states which would bring jobs and revenue would increase accordingly. It was total BS none of it happened. Soon the state was a billion and half in deficit they were going broke had no money to fix roads public schools had to close early and shorten the school year three or four years later the legislature raised taxes a billion and a half and Brownback vetoed the bill but the legislature over rode his veto Kansas had become a bad joke. In California by contrast Our newly elected governor Brown in 2010 persuaded the people to vote for an increase in taxes on the rich. The state had a chronic $25 billion deficit fron an abortive attempt to de regulate out two big electrical utility companies which fell victim to Enron manipulation of energy trading gouging Californians for $45 billion leaving a 10 year deficit. The people responded and soon the deficit was eliminated and provided a $10 billion rainy day fund and since 2010 the San Francsco Bay Area has produced three million nine hundred new jobs leading California and the nation in economic growth and job creation and the prognosis this trend should continue for several more years. This in a state conservativess like to refer to as The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. Venezeula is a nation with only one product for foriegn exchange OIL and the price of it has been low killing their economy and the fact an authorian dictator gaind power in the country and Authoriantarianism is a charactership of conservatism and has nothing to do with liberal progessivism

As Liliana picks lice from the tangled, thick hair of her boyfriend, Patricio, while they sit together on the sidewalk of a Caracas street, she’s also multi-tasking, keeping a watchful eye on her “family.” When a 10-year-old girl named Danianyeliz kneels down to drink water from a puddle, Liliana reproaches her, urging her to have a sip from a juice bottle they’ve just found in a garbage bag.

At 16, Liliana has become the mother figure for a gang of Venezuelan children and young adults called the Chacao, named after the neighborhood they’ve claimed as their territory. The 15 members, ranging in age from 10 to 23, work together to survive vicious fights for “quality” garbage in crumbling, shortage-plagued Venezuela. Their weapons are knives and sticks and machetes. The prize? Garbage that contains food good enough to eat.

Liliana has a quick, wide smile and goes by the nickname Caramelo. She takes charge of each day for the group, deciding how much food her “family” will consume and how much they will stash away for another day. She settles conflicts that flare up and gives a hug, a kiss or a pat on the back as needed.

“Caramelo is my mummy and Paola is my aunt,” declared Danianyeliz, a newcomer who joined the gang about a month ago. She left home, she said, because there was not enough food to go around. The “aunt” she referred to, Paola, is just 14 and another member of the gang.

Their lives are no doubt a disaster due to B.O's meddling, and are gang members themselves.
So why in the world would you vote for something that would produce these same results over again?

From the responses of a number of people who I though had more brains than a naked mole rat but dn't get Teabags post I have decided that perhaps the intellect here is not what it used to be. Perhaps the thinking group have disappeared looking for better conversations. If so, OPP will be made up shortly of only those people who have the intellect of an earthworm. I have never claimed to be the smartest one on OPP, far from it, but the time to say goodby may be just around the corner.
