When John Steinbeck wrote The Grapes Of Wrath in 1937 we were living in labor camps near Clovis California My mother, father, one year old sister, uncle. grand father and step grandmother were all in the same camp, similar to the Joad family. Stienbeck was traveling up and down the San Joaquin valley with Okie families studying their circumstance and tunning into their style of speech and regional accents he captured that perfectly. He was from Salinas but after the book wad published he was ostracized to such an extent for the way he portrayed California farmers he moved to Monterey. Today the City of Salinas has an anual Stienbeck festival and a Muesum where all of his books can be purchased. Audio readings of them are available as well as film clips of those books made into movies. It was in this Museum that I discovered that in 1936 near Salinas the Lettuce pickers were Mecicans and Filippinos the packing sheds were manned by migrant Okies, they were threatenuing a wildcat strike for higher pay. The Lettuce growers association put in a call to the Pinkerton Agency in Chicago for help. A group of them boarded a train in Chicago, got off in Salinas tracked down five men and beat them to death in the streets of Salinas.

No body was ever arrested for their murders because these men were landless peasants, like my parents, who were Tennant farmers, share croppers, these kind of people never counted or had any rights and in fact could not vote or serve on juries untill mid 19 th century or thereabouts. In fact in every labor dispute government always came down on the side of Capital in every case untill the FDR New Dealers passed the National labor relations act in 1935. You have what is called a "bucket" opinion. Fill the buckets too much and it will spill over. I agree with you that arming teachers who are hardly credible in the handling of firearms is an insane idea. It's a knee jerk reaction to isolated incidents. How about we hire security guards?

Well your sources are wrong such a thing has never happened except in the minds of conspiracy theorists and nut cases. ur biggest problem is with Republican gerrymandering districts and suppressing the Democratic vote

A fake drivers license wont work A person cant get register to vote with a fake drivers license all those things are good for is to show a prospective employer . I've seen those things when I was hiring Mexicans they are easy to spot. I received notice from the SS administration that it appeared I had employees who were using the SS numbers of others and were paying into their accounts that's all they could do since they are not law enforcement

"Arm teachers" is totally wrong. It connotes something meaning all teachers will be forced to possess and carry firearms. That, as you noted is insane. Instead, what we need to be advocating is that those teachers who wish to carry and agree to being trained should be encouraged to do so.

Then they can register to vote, even though they're not entitled to !!! The dems seem to like this VERY MUCH !!!
