Recently there was a string asking "Have you been hypnotized."

Of course most of the respondents felt that they had not been hypnotised, or were even not able to be hypnotized.

I keep telling people that most of us are walking around in a hypnotized condition most of the time. People don't want to believe that, but various forms of hypnosis have been used on them by their parents, school teachers, news media (who act as the Government’s major hypnosis team), religion, etc. all their lives.

That is why we have so many “crazy” seeming people posting on this forum, for example. They are that way by design. Other’s design and control, whether it is to sell you breakfast food, a certain car, or a certain politician, or to love or hate certain others.

I know you are talking about mass hypnosis, but I have been hypnotized and while under, I had my wisdom teeth removed without bleeding or pain. In fact, I was aware of everything going on around me. A few years later, I delivered my first under hypnosis... again lacking in blood, pain, and I was up and tending to him in 10 minutes. worked so well, that I routinely use it when I have a headache or can not go to sleep. I have also used acupuncture for minor pain, like when I broke my leg. I do not use pharmaceuticals if they can be avoided, and I find that most of the time (in my case) no store bought medication works better. Plus, I seem to heal quicker than most people. I think this is because I have not interfered with the body's natural responses by slowing the brain's reaction to healing.

I am not saying that I do not recommend doctors or anyone should not take their medications.

This brings up the point of the motivations of the hypnotists.

Your parents are brainwashing/hypnotizing you when you are a small child, in the belief that what they teach you will be for your benefit. They hand you over to the school teachers, religionists, etc. to be further "taught" by people who's real motivations they might not know. Is the teacher a communist or the churchman a pedophile?

They do it because of what they have been taught by their parents, teachers and churchmen for purposes they (your parents ) might not really agree with if they truely understood those purposes.

The problem is where and from whom did they learn what they are teaching you. Does the mother/father of a Jihadist teach their son/daughter the perverted ideology that they are said to espouse, (namely killing innocent people) because it is in their son's best interests, or because they, the parents have been brainwashed/hypnotized by some crazy "religionist zealot”?

This is why I want people to understand that they think and are what they have been taught/brainwashed by others whose motivations they do not really know.

In my years in the Marine Corps I was brainwashed into glorying in my killing of Chinese teen agers, who I didn't know and who had been brainwashed into trying to kill me and my fellow teen age marines who they didn't know, in a land 1/2 the world away. If that isn't crazy I don't know what is.

Think about it if your brainwashing lets you.

Now this is a proper use of Clinical Hypnosis. And you will certainly be healthier, have healthier children, probably live longer, have less need for dangerous medicines and surgeries, save a lot of money and save your loved ones a lot of worry and stress.

You can scream it from the rooftops, they're not listening. I 'turned it off' in disgust over 20 years ago and don't miss it one iota. I just don't understand the attraction this carbunkle on the face of humanity has over its audience, but they most certainly do allow it right into their living rooms. Welcome it really, with open arms. They even laud these 'messengers of misinformation' with an almost religious reverence. It makes me sick to see it. They expose their young children to this indoctrination and those children grow up with it in the background all through their lives, telling them what to think, how to act, who to vote for, you name it. These are the same people who will wonder aloud how it is that their government can be so publicly corrupt - and get away with it! Or worse, they won't even acknowledge it.

You point it out to them and you get this misdirection maneuver "Oh, yeah, well your (insert politician/policy here) is much worse!". See how that works? They deny what you said while pointing to an unrelated topic/person, thus diverting the topic in that direction instead. And most of the time they don't even know they're doing it because they've been indoctrinated from birth to think that way by that God-awful noise machine they call their television. In the meantime you're standing there with your mouth open wondering what just happened. Later on they'll tell their equally misinformed friends how they 'shut you up' with their superior logic and argument skills and they'll all celebrate another 'victory' together.

So yeah, by all means, tell them all, 'turn it off!'. After a while you'll be just as jaded as I am. Not so much 'bitter and twisted', just very disappointed that the message never seems to get through. Maybe it is a form of 'mass hypnotism', I generally consider it brainwashing. Just like this 'two-party' electoral system they promote. Ask any of them how many political parties exist in the United States and you'll get the same answer - Two. You mention the libertarian party of the Green party and you'll get a blank stare most of the time. Occasionally you'll get the dismissal 'yeah, but that just wasting your vote'.

Show them this, and you'll get stunned silence, or total rabid denial.
