One party says homeless gays should be allowed to marry. The other says they can't. Their solutions for the growing homeless and the shrinking middle-class are the same.

Regardless of which party gets elected the losers are the American people.

The repugnants are probably going to capture the White House in 2016 followed with a continuation of the same corporate economic/foreign policies and, again, the losers will be the American people...just like the 2008 elections gave us the Bush Presidency on steroids with the push for the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement and austerity at home.

Back and forth, back and forth, electing the devil or the devil. Big deal.

Well I have only been here a couple of months & have seem that those voicing views of the Right fail to see the impact on what is wrong with the doings of the political spectrum comes from those they hold dear.

They hold at fault the present President that has continued to do the the things set in motion by an earlier President.

Things that seem to be just what they blame as part of the problems we have. Has been done by the party they hold dear.

Just how they think things will get any better if the party of their choice gets their choice elected as President will make things better for any one but the few that control things escapes me.

If & when there is a person from the Right back in the White house they will see that their racism was all a big waste.

I have felt for a long time that there was little hope for the common folks in this country. In my mind there was always a little hope that once in a while there would be something done that would truly be good coming from Washington that would be good for the common people.

Things that have been happening in DC & the views of those from the Right on this site have left me with the feeling that things if they continue as they are going & we the people on the street don't see the need to find ways to cut back on the greed at the top things will just keep getting worse.

Let there be no doubt It will get worse for the most of us no matter how much we kiss the back sides of those holding power.

That was my point, Mr. Brown. It does NOT matter which party is in power. It is amazing how some can still continue to think there are substantial differences between dems and repubs.

Obama was elected to change the economic/foreign policies of Bush. Instead he continued them. The next repub twit in the White House will continue O's economic/foreign policies. A (D) or a (R) after a politicians name is a substantial difference? LOL

Are you and your buddies stupid enough to think that Soros and the Progressive Plutocracy give any more of a damn about the common folk than the Evil Kochmonster Cabal?

You may not have noticed, but out of control spending has gone up every year under both parties. The Republicans drive a bit slower than the Democrats, but they're headed in the same direction.

Training folks to be dependent on the government and a monetary policy that drives our blue collar jobs overseas isn't my idea of caring.

And my question remains: Are the Democrats trying to buy votes with the minimum wage thing? Look at who paid for that ad. They could have done this at any time since Obama was elected. Why wait to aid the poor, suffering low wage folks until now?

Of course it's being done for political maneuvering. That's is all Obama knows how to do. He is good at getting elected and paying off the right people to accomplish that. He has never done anything other than that his entire life. It's all politics alway. The Republicans are also guilty of the same thing but just not quite as good at it as he is.
If we could get someone in office that is actually different, it would be amazing. Maybe Rand Paul who has a totally different philosophy or even maybe Dr. Ben Carson. Both of them speak differently and have different ideas, but the chances of getting them in is negligible at best.

Suggesting that a disagreement with Obama's policies is purely based on race is about as dumb a suggestion one can make, and the more you make that argument the dumber you become and the less valid any other point you make.

Our disagreement with Obama has NOTHING to do with race! Enough of that crap already!

I think it's a ploy for votes. Haven't you noticed? Oscandal always pulls a fast one right around election times. He's a con and knows how to play the game. He knows these lowly paid workers are chomping at the bits - wanting a raise. Even though I would like to see minimum wage increased, I know it's a game with oscandal. I don't trust him now and never will. He's the worst president we've ever had, during my lifetime.

My vote goes to Woodrow Wilson for the worst, LBJ second, and Obama ties with Carter for third worst. Nixon gets a [dis] honorable mention.

I think that Buchanan was motivated by more wishful thinking than many people realize. He was presiding over a disintegrating country. I don't think he fully realized the depths of people's feelings, and not only in regard to slavery, but the larger issue of States' Rights. Buchanan is believed by many to have been gay, with his life long bachelorhood as evidence, along with some letters purported to have been written by him while he was serving as an ambassador to France, I believe it was. I don't have an opinion on that. I really don't see what Buchanan could have done much differently, given the circumstances he was faced with. He didn't have any really good choices.

Thanks for responding. I had a teacher that didn't have a thing nice to say bout him. I had heard he may be gay but truthfully that is not why I asked. I had the same conclusion as you did. I still hear some people who don't say anything nice. But maybe after so many years going by; history has a way of redeeming some people who at the time., no one would of thought were redeemable? Thanks again.

When all else fails, they always fall back to the racism baloney, when in fact, they are the true racists.
