Here's the minimum wage hike plug at the bottom of the OP page:

STAND WITH THE SENATE DEMOCRAT'S PLAN TO RAISE THE MINIMUN WAGE!

paid for by the democratic senatorial campaign committee.

After years of neglecting to raise the minimum wage, and having the ability to do so at any time since Obama's election, why now? Could it be they saved it as an ace in the hole just in case thing went bad for them, and now that the ACA has gotten off to a less than auspicious beginning, the work force is dwindling, savings and buying power are being eaten away by the hidden tax of floods of fiat currency and college graduates are working part time for Burger King, maybe the Democrats are blatantly trying to BUY votes?

Or is it just me?

Now...the $64 questions:

Will they be able to pull it off in time for the election?

Will it be enough to offset the damage their GUY has done to their credibility with the fence-sitters?

Will the Republicans just go along with in it damage control mode?

hopefully the answer is no to your last question.
I don't take notice to the ads much but this minimum wage will be a go getter for the Democratic party. They don't want help from that "leader" of theirs.
I pray he sticks his nose in their business like he has our rights!

:-D

mike;
Why would they have to do that? republicans, are their own worst enemy, and all harm that they inflicted on themselves, is self induced, and they don't need one bit of help from anybody else. Hell, even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Such stupid things as refusing to give out of work workers their benefits so they can feed their families, then cutting food stamps for those workers, and the poor, and our veterans.
Trying to kill something as important as health care for those that need it, instead of getting off their lazy asses to help fix what needs to be fixed.
Kissing, and licking the asses, of the very people that put us in this condition, by paying their taxes, and helping them to buy, and steal elections.
Because that is the only way they could ever win an election.
Do they care that they are putting this entire country at the mercy of those greedy, ungrateful people, that do not give a damn about this country. All they care about is where they can get another dollar, no matter who it hurts.
Are you, or any of your buddies stupid enough to think the Koch family gives a damn about you, or them? Hell no!
So what does it matter when the minimum wage issue was brought up, republicans are going to fight against it anyway.
Probably because none of their leaders need it.

Are you really trying to say the Democrats policies are good for anyone but the people drawing entitlements and the ultra rich?
For all the talk about class warfare, Obama's policies have made the demonized richer.

It is unbelievable to me when I see a post like poppabear42 wrote and how gullible the liberals are. If they were to just try to be somewhat open minded, they would discover that the Democrats are the ones bringing the country down. I guess they only listen to stuff like MSNBC and CNN and the other mainstream media rags that do everything they can to protect Obama and the socialist. With people like this being able to vote it is no wonder this country is failing. Everything socialist doesn't work, never has and never will. People are amazingly gullible to think that you can get something for nothing. Someone always pays otherwise there is nothing available to get.

I think it's a ploy for votes. Haven't you noticed? Oscandal always pulls a fast one right around election times. He's a con and knows how to play the game. He knows these lowly paid workers are chomping at the bits - wanting a raise. Even though I would like to see minimum wage increased, I know it's a game with oscandal. I don't trust him now and never will. He's the worst president we've ever had, during my lifetime.

Just the same pack of lies that the democrats keeps repeating. Do you think we will believe that BS just because you repeat it again and again?

Wages are private business agreements between employees and employers. Government has no constitutional authority to meddle in those private business agreements.

When tweedle-dee of the corporatacracy screws over the American people, they replace him so they can get screwed over by tweedle-dum of the corporatacracy. The way they have the system rigged, it is a damned if you vote, damned if you don't vote sort of thing.

One party says homeless gays should be allowed to marry. The other says they can't. Their solutions for the growing homeless and the shrinking middle-class are the same.

Regardless of which party gets elected the losers are the American people.

The repugnants are probably going to capture the White House in 2016 followed with a continuation of the same corporate economic/foreign policies and, again, the losers will be the American people...just like the 2008 elections gave us the Bush Presidency on steroids with the push for the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement and austerity at home.

Back and forth, back and forth, electing the devil or the devil. Big deal.

Look man, if social programs were the answer to anything we shouldn't need them anymore! We've already gone trillions in the hole. One definition of insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results.

Are you and your buddies stupid enough to think that Soros and the Progressive Plutocracy give any more of a damn about the common folk than the Evil Kochmonster Cabal?

You may not have noticed, but out of control spending has gone up every year under both parties. The Republicans drive a bit slower than the Democrats, but they're headed in the same direction.

Training folks to be dependent on the government and a monetary policy that drives our blue collar jobs overseas isn't my idea of caring.

And my question remains: Are the Democrats trying to buy votes with the minimum wage thing? Look at who paid for that ad. They could have done this at any time since Obama was elected. Why wait to aid the poor, suffering low wage folks until now?
