Now while you cons no doubt think that this is true if he could do what he wanted with the DoJ that would make him a dictator. Too bad Obama didn't say something like that then you cons would have already debunked it...

Obama did say he had a right; he just acted as though he did.

Us ' old timers' remember when JFK wanted to " dis-band' the CIA back in '63.
The young ' libtard-snowflakes' probably don't even know who John Fitzgerald Kennedy, a Democrat politician was!
Ask them why he was murdered in '63 and they have no clue!
They seem to think it's OK for the DoJ to let Hell-ary ' walk' for selling Uranium to Russia and
broadcasting classified government 'intel' un-encrypted on her cell phone.
Q. Why have we lost faith in the DoJ. The ' elite' operate above the law, that's why!

As your President, Trump has the authority to do no more or less than any other President. Making decisions about who works where in government is under the authority vested in the office of the President. Every President. President Trump is your President, therefore, true to his words, he can do what he wants with the DOJ. He can replace the entire department, from Attorney General on down, replace them with orangutans, and nobody can say squat about it (actually, orangutans might be an improvement).

It is too bad Obama didn't say anything 'like' that, because then he might have kept his mouth shut on much more egregious claims:

Obama didn't have to say it as he truly was a leftist totalitarian snake like you petey boy and the press went along with his shenanigans for 8 tortuous years. The fake press never took their lips off his derierre or got off their knees and prayer rugs in all those years either as ovomit broke law after law and pushed perversion in our country.

Ten Conservative Principles:

First, the conservative believes that there exists an enduring moral order.

Second, the conservative adheres to custom, convention, and continuity.

Third, conservatives believe in what may be called the principle of prescription.

Fourth, conservatives are guided by their principle of prudence.

Fifth, conservatives pay attention to the principle of variety.

Sixth, conservatives are chastened by their principle of imperfectability.

Seventh, conservatives are persuaded that freedom and property are closely linked.

Eighth, conservatives uphold voluntary community, quite as they oppose involuntary collectivism.

Ninth, the conservative perceives the need for prudent restraints upon power and upon human passions.

Tenth, the thinking conservative understands that permanence and change must be recognized and reconciled in a vigorous society.

You again. OK I'll bite. What does any of this have to do with Presidential authorities?

Read the Constitution. Congress makes the laws and the Prez is NOT above the law. Or did you want a dictator?

Perhaps you can find where the Constitution mentions a Department of Justice. The Director of the DOJ is the Attorney General and serves at the pleasure of the president. Congress has to confirm him, but he or she is subject to summary dismissal by the president. 28 USC 503. The office of Attorney General was created By Congress after the Constitution was ratified.

Nothing,

It has to do with conservative principles, and studying what the Constitution says. AKA, checks and balances.

Yes, please do read the constitution. The President is the head of the executive. The President is responsible for creating and staffing executive functionaries. That, by the way, includes the Department of Justice. In theory and in fact, he is their boss, and he can hire and fire at will, ergo, he can do 'what he wants'.

I would Loki's comments above, but I will reprint so you don't have to scroll up:

...so why hasn't he fired everybody?
