Seems our countrymen who favor profits over people are fine with Trump as long as they got theirs... I'm all for free market Capitalism but where do you draw the line between profit over people... Trump has no health care plan & never did except destroy the ACA "the Ryan plan"... most of old farts here on OPP have Medicare & live off dividends from a point in time when our corporations weren't so dependent of foreign labor to profit ...

You may be right, people who are retired are not concerned about the job market, only the stock market. For most who are doing well, SS is simply an added bonus check, chump change.

Just a thought but many feel we've been in wars for reasons other than defending freedom or the protection of the people, but rather for companies who are military contractors or for the oil cartel, which may be the case. But either way we put our youth in harm's way and many come home disabled, they then collect SS at a much earlier year then the intended retirement age. Now the industrialists made their money but do they pay in an added supplement to help the increased deficit of SS, or do they just walk away with their profits?

Well I just lost my Trump tax cut because I wanted to pay my taxes in advance and found out that my Real Estate taxes are going up, also lost $100 because the cost of renewing my dog license went up by $100 so my tax cuts are gone. I wonder if Koch has a dog he has to pay the same amount as me. (SO I GUESS ITS FAIR)

The worst thing that ever happened in this country is the conservative Supreme Court giving us citizens united. That allowed billions in Corporate dark money into our political system.

Bottom line...when almost 75% of the people disapprove of a plan & they pass it anyhow to payback donors so they get re elected ... Now talk about draining the swamp?... Trump just proved to be a very large swamp critter & Paul Ryan's bitch... At least Obama gave away Health care, food & money to the people who didn't have much while Trump gave lots of money to those who didn't need it... what a great humanitarian trump is...

You have that exactly right E, what it's coming down to, are the true colors of the right and it sure doesn't look like red, white and blue...only green. They have no country, they are homeless ships, but maybe this attempt to override our country's governing and the transparency of their actions will finally let people see their true self-serving intentions.

To take this one step further...Puerto Rico... Doesn't Trump realize the entire planet is watching to see how the greatest, wealthiest most powerful country takes care of its own???? ... If Trumps so super smart doesn't he realize he is CNC of the Army corps of Engineers who have the expertise & equipment to provide electric & water to all of Puerto Rico rapidly... This President is no Genius if he can't multi task basic problems... I can't wait to see Trumps new health care plan... the Ryan, Mcturtle Trump plan... pay in big time to private insurance or die plan and let's not forget to buy stock share in big Insurance before they buy back their own stock with the huge tax cuts inflating the market with new tax money taken from the poor... again how humane but I bet that Charles Koch is very happy now that his investment in Paul Ryan has finally paid off bigtime assuring the Koch empire a bright future for a few ...profits over people with a divided electorate...thank you Citizens United... this was a good Koch investment also... Its easy to see when you don't play the party game anymore...
