[quote=PulletSurprise]This Special Election wasn't about one man, Judge Moore, but a continual manipulation of dumbing down the masses. Judge Moore's ideology didn't fit within the framework of business as usual in Washington DC. His presence would have been a grave threat to the establishment. They already have Dr. Rand Paul (KY Senator) and adding a controversial figure like Moore would have been like having a loaded two barrel shotgun!

As long as the masses can be satisfied with Main Street Politicians, the show goes on! It was acceptable to seat Strange or Jones... it was just another election. Why did the Waste Stream Media and the 2 National Parties pour millions upon millions into this particular election?

A friend, an engineer, sent the following message:

I heard some folks talking yesterday (on talk radio) about how the special senate election was rigged. they compared republican votes for Trump versus Moore in four of the largest counties and it looked like there was a shortfall of 100,000! The democrats votes were about same as Hillary.

I decided to do some calculations and I have attached the results comparing the special senate election with the last few senate elections and several past presidential elections. The results seem to indicate the democrat Jones had about same number of votes as Hillary. Moore had about 600,000 fewer votes than Trump.

Was Moore that unpopular? Did 600,000 republicans choose not to vote?

Then we have a new controversy revolving around preserving the digital ballots:

https://www.alternet.org/activism/alabama-voters-sue-state-preserve-ballot-images-special-us-senate-election

The filing for a Republican, Democrat, Independent and a minister came after lawyers for the voters were rebuffed by statewide Alabama election officials, who they urged not only to preserve all election records (as required under federal law), but to ensure the electronic scanners that will read and count the ink-marked paper ballots are properly programmed to capture the paper ballot images.

“Defendants [Secretary of State] John Merrill and [State Elections Director] Ed Packard are failing to carry out their duties to instruct county election officials to preserve all election materials as required by law,” the suit filed in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County said. “Specifically, Defendants, according to information provided by them, indicate they do not and will not instruct election officials in each of the Alabama counties to preserve digital ballot images created by digital voting machines used throughout the state even though they are instructing such county officials to preserve ‘write-in’ digital ballots.”

“Defendants have confirmed that in previous elections and in the December 12, 2017, special election, they have instructed and are instructing election officials of all Alabama counties using the ES&S DS200 or similar digital ballot scanning devices to preserve ‘Processed Write-in Images’ only,” the suit said. “As a result, county election officials or workers under their supervision automatically destroy all other digital ballots following the election.”

The suit cited Alabama law requiring election records be preserved for six months and federal law that all election records be preserved for 22 months.

“Defendants violate Alabama’s public records law and Plaintiffs’ right to a fair and accurate election by failing to instruct county election officials to preserve all ballot images,” the suit concluded. “Without the preservation of these digital ballot images, Defendants’ rights to a fair and accurate election could be denied.”[/quotE We need to go back some years when you had to show up at the proper place, with proper ID, wait your turn and do the right thing. This B/S today encourages politically motivated persons to do the wrong thing, mostly from the left for some reason.

Guess we just have to wait and see how true this is:

The Recount of the Alabama Senate Race is ON. Multiple levels of election fraud being uncovered. After nearly an entire precinct in a black neighborhood in Birmingham was tossed out this morning by the Alabama Secretary of State for widespread and rampant voter fraud, estimates have Roy Moore in the lead by more than 300 votes. The 421st precinct racked up nearly 26K votes for Doug Jones, mostly with brand-new voter registrations, in an area with only 1100 residents. The widespread fraud and corruption is the new method of winning elections for Democrats, who have little to no actual support in America anymore outside of the 4 cities they all seem to live in.

I listened to Doug Jones being interviewed by Mike Wallace this morning. I realize talk from a politician is cheap. Still, I found Doug Jones to be articulate and intelligent in his responses to Wallace's questions. If Doug Jones toes an independent middle of the road policy; makes decisions based on what's best for the country, and the State of Alabama, as he proclaimed he would, then, in my opinion, he deserves a chance.

Doug Jones "may" even be the better choice for the country and Alabama. However, most fair-minded question the underhanded methods used by both parties to destroy Roy Moore's chances of being the next senator representing the people of Alabama.

However, let it also be said that Doug Jones, while perhaps not as vicious, was probably subjected to some questionable accusations by the opposition, during the campaign.

One observation, and comment, I feel safe in making: Roy Moore is a piss poor horseman. If his riding ability would translate to his governing, well...

Typical leftist response, Kev. The end justifies the means. Why would we care how we get there? The important thing is that our side won. Right?

Kev is typical of the far left reasoning. Anything to get the job done matter how dishonest I had some doubts about judge Moores lost and I now believe he did win, How we shall see.

Via Big League Politics:

Democratic activists are making a last-minute push to get out the vote against Roy Moore in Alabama by encouraging “African-Americans in Mississippi” to vote in the wrong state.

Sources on the ground in Alabama confirm that these tactics are real, and they are being used by supporters of Democrat Doug Jones.

Big League Politics received evidence of a Reddit call for “African-Americans in Mississippi” to “make a short trip to Alabama on December 12.” That Reddit thread is still active.

According to Big League Politics similar calls have been made in Georgia and South Carolina.

Well, when someone makes a comment that issues from a bodily orifice that's attached to something other than the logical area of the brain, I try to give them the opportunity to clarify the statement.

Nice avatar, fits your childish response. Gee another liberal that can not answer a direct question.

I think something was missed in translation, JFlorio. IfDavis, in his response to you, is clarifying why he posted what he did, nothing more.
